Pros: close focus, rugged design, waterproof, lifetime warranty, bright colorful image, affordable.
Cons: Image sharpness just o.k., narrow fov, lacking depth of field.
I did not want to spend over a thousand dollars for my first pair of binoculars so I compromised at the recommendation of the dealer and chose this pair. On the plus side the binoculars are waterproof, rugged, have a very close focus, bright colorful image, lifetime warranty and can be purchased for under $300.00. Now some of the drawbacks:
1)The field of view is pretty narrow.
2)The sharpness of image seems to vary depending on conditions but it never seems to be razor sharp just o.k. sharp.
3)They are not ultra-lite but just average weight.
4)I find myself adjusting the ipd and twist eyecups a lot to get the best view.I extend the eyecups depending on how much light there is at the time.
5)You have to focus a lot because it does not have a great depth of field.
Overall I can't really complain. They are doing the job but I will end up with a premium pair such as Leica eventually.
