Pros: Action, Neeson Cons: The daughter. Ugh.
Summary: Sometimes I have a hankering for some good, bloody action. The kind where the violence is gratuitous, the situations ridiculous and the hero impenetrable. Buckle your seat belt, leave your brain on the shelf and go along for the loud, ... read more

Pros: Amazing action sequences, great acting, and overall great movie. Cons: Predictable ending and twists.
Summary: I was actually forced to watch the movie Taken when I was vacationing at my brother's house for the weekend. I had never heard of it before, nor was I a big fan of action movies. Admittedly, I didn't pay much attention to this movie the first time I ... read more

Pros: A very watchable and impressive Liam Neeson as an action hero. Cons: I didn't get to see the Eiffel Tower or I blinked and missed it?
Summary: After watching the trailer plus not being a big Liam Neeson fan I originally decided to wait until Taken was available on cable. However just recently while browsing the "T" section of our neighborhood video store a huge movie buff noticed me ... read more

Pros: Action sequences, no non-sense on the part of Neeson, the ending Cons: formulaic, bullets miss the good guy way too much
Summary: Are we talking about James Bond's drink or an action-packed thrill ride of a film? I'm not sure why I never saw this gem in the theatre when it was released, but my wife and I sat down with this DVD and had little idea what to expect other than ... read more

Pros: awesome choreography. Cons: censored on cable TV
Summary: The idea of kidnapping young foreign girls to sell in the European and Asian sex slave trade is a concept that has been used countless times in film. Combine that premise with a father out to get their child back, or, a x – CIA ... read more

Pros: Efficient perf from Neeson. Movie is short. Cons: Maggie Grace is awful. Needless pop star subplot, too.
Summary: "Taken" is essentially two lines of dialogue - "I will find you. And I will kill you." - stretched out into a 90-minute film. The speaker of this line finds his man. And, boy, does he kill him. And then he finds more people and kills them, too. And ... read more

Summary: Last night, I went to my local $2 theater and caught this latest "father goes to save his kidnapped daughter" flick called "Taken". The previews made it look like it could be interesting. It showed lots of fighting and action and things of that ... read more

Pros: Unique story line, good acting, great action, fun movie. Cons: Not the most believeable, but hey, its an action movie. Saw it coming!
Summary: I was not expecting very much when I went to see the movie, TAKEN. It is winter time and soon after the Oscars, and I really did not think there would be any good action movies in the theatre. I thought I would have to wait until summer to see something ... read more

Pros: Liam Neeson, Liam Neeson, and three times Liam Neeson; compelling story; great action; Olivier Rabourdin Cons: Bloody contrived, rather violent; Neeson the hero engaged in non-heroic activity

Pros: Liam Neeson, Good action shots Cons: Poor storyline, all too cliche, concidental and predictable
Summary: I’m a big fan of Luc Besson and Liam Neeson but I probably wouldn’t have gone to see Taken had it not been for the lack of good movies in the theater at the moment and the surprising 8.0 rating this one is getting at IMDB. Luc Besson merely ... read more
