The Backyardigans have all sorts of adventures in their backyard. After a long adventure, they end up getting hungry and everything turns back to reality so they can go have a snack at a friend's house.

The Backyardigans is such a fun show! My nearly 2 1/2 year old daughter loves this show. She doesn't stop talking about it. She is always asking me to do new "Adventures". For example she'll find anything the house that resembles a cowboy hat and sings "Riding the Range" and says "Yahoo!" Also, she dug our her old Pirate Halloween costume and pretends to be a pirate.

In addition, this show promotes diversity - it seems that each character comes from a different background.

Pros: Very pretty, fantastic songs, subtle lessons, loads of imagination!
Cons: Only comes on once a day in my market! Not on dvd yet.

My two year old daughter and I are the biggest Backyardigans fans! The eye candy factor aside, the songs and imagination models are so fantastic! With all the annoying changes to Blues Clues and Dora the Explorer (her old favorites)it's very nice to have this wonderful new show to enjoy together. This is the only show she gets up to sing and dance with. I cannot wait for it to be available on dvd. We LOVE the Backyardigans!

My 4 year old daughter and I LOVE the Backyardigans!! They're so happy and fun. The music and dancing is so inspiring. We find ourselves singing their songs all day long. Please write more episodes!

My 20 month old son, my husband and I, absolutely love this show. My son who never stops will actually sing and dance during the show without destroying a single thing. The characters are great, the songs are wonderful, and the adventures are catchy. Even my husband and I catch ourselves humming or singing the songs while they are playing and even later in the evening and the show isn't even on. We have even went and gotten some vhs tapes so we can record the shows. I am looking forward to when Backyardigans are available on DVD. This is the first childrens show that I have felt compelled to write a review about. I hope that they continue to do such a wonderful job with this program. I commend the author of this show for showing that children do not have to have the latest video game or the latest gadgets to be able to have fun in this world. Great job and great show for children of all ages, including adults with a child at heart.
