Pros: Damon, Allen, Strathairn, Considine, Finney, Greengrass's direction, story Cons: Some may be bothered by Greengrass's abundant hand-held shots
As long as Jason Bourne lives, those in charge at the CIA will stop at nothing to see him dead. In The Bourne Ultimatum, Bourne (Matt Damon), a trained assassin of the now-defunct Treadstone project, continues to live a life of secrecy, three ...
Pros: Great acting especially by Damon and Allen; spectacular car chase Cons: Julia Stiles needs more to do; shaky camera work
Jason Bourne has seen better days. Of course, it would help if he could remember those days. However, circumstances are telling him that he needs to recover his lost memories if he is ever wants to have a moments peace, and in doing so may be more ...
Pros: Great action, fine acting, tremendous cinematography Cons: None
Wow! That was my reaction to many of the scenes and the entire film after I watched the third in the Bourne trilogy, "The Bourne Ultimatum." Unlike many trilogies (bug not all) which appear to be mere continuations of the previous films, this is one ...
Pros: Jason Bourne is Back! Cons: Not as original or fresh as the first.
My son Nick and I both enjoy high octane thrillers, and even screen writer Judd Apatow recognizes that Jason Bourne could kick some serious butt. (for those of you who aren't film geeks, a clip from The Bourne Identity appeared in The 40 Year ...
The Bourne Ultimatum is easily the most action-packed in the Bourne Identity trilogy, and a perfect ending to the story. It's not my favorite (that honor goes to Bourne Identity) but it's a major upgrade to the Bourne Supremacy - and for that I am glad. ...
Pros: Frenetic pace, well-directed, actors carry you over the implausibility Cons: Julia Stiles (and her character too)
I would love a travel itinerary like Jason Bourne’s. London, Paris, Moscow, Madrid, Tangier, New York, the sights would be amazing! I could do without the assassins after me, though. That would kind of suck. But Bourne’s good enough to handle it all ...
Pros: Smartly written and acted, intelligent movie. Cons: Not much at all...
Bourne is back, and this time he coming home to New York Cityeventually. As I stated in my review of The Bourne Supremacy, some action movies can be judged solely on their 'money scenes': those fistfights, car chases, gun battles, and ...
Pros: A great story which grows in suspense very well. Cons: Possibly a little too fast or too violent for some viewers.
The Bourne Ultimatum is probably the best action film of 2007 (so far), and if great entertainment is what you're after, this one is the summer choice to make. Seeing this film will make you glad you decided to go to the movies. Matt Damon as ...
Pros: CINEMATOGRAPHY AND STUNT WORK Cons: Too many characters asking Bourne: You really don't remember? Duh.
The Following is a True Story: Craftswoman, also known as Marcy decided to use the movie pass she won at work by guessing some silly movie trivia questions. After searching online to see what movies were playing, she decided to see The Bourne ...
Pros: Fans of Matt Damon will still like it. Cons: Not enough of what made the first two Bourne movies a hit.
First, before the hordes of Bourne movie fans appear at my gate with torches and pitchforks screaming "kill the monster", I know the title is a bit harsh. I'll say it right up front... I am a big Matt Damon fan, and I loved the earlier movies. But as ...
Pros: Great cinematography, directing, acting, and a spell binding plot. Cons: Once again I could have seen more of the lovely Julia Stiles!
The Bourne Ultimatum is absolutely breath taking. I'm sure that other reviewers have already howled about the heart pounding action, incredibly inventive cinematography and fantastically taut story line. I will go into all of these aspects of this ...
Pros: Great acting/script, amazing action sequences, interesting story Cons: Shaky, nauseating, sickening camera!
Being an avid fan of The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, I was thoroughly excited upon viewing The Bourne Ultimatum. Although I preferred the first film in the series, The Bourne Ultimatum is still an action packed thriller ...
Pros: Matt Damon's acting is, as always, top notch, and direction is great Cons: Serious script problems, poor characterization
There's an old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." The problem with that phrase, however, is that even the best formula eventually gets old. Perhaps that's just the problem with The Bourne Ultimatum . Standing on its own, the movie is ...
Pros: Great acting. White-knuckle thrills. Fantastic fights & car chases. Cons: Over-use of hand-held shaky camera shots.
In 2002, we had The Bourne Identity, a slick, exciting, well-constructed thriller about an amnesiac assassin named Jason Bourne. In 2004, we were given its sequel, The Bourne Supremacy, in which Jason Bourne continues his search to find out ...
Pros: Great cast, particularly Matt Damon; awesome action sequences; direction by Paul Greengrass. Cons: None
Matt Damon is back as Jason Bourne in The Bourne Ultimatum, the third in the series of films based on the books by Robert Ludlum. If you didn't see the first two films, The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, rent them on DVD ...
Pros: Damon's great reprise as Bourne; smart script; and grippingly staged action sequences. Cons: This might be the last Jason Bourne.
I read in an online interview that, while Matt Damon hasn't entirely ruled out filming a fourth Bourne installment, he's put the kibosh on doing one in the immediate future. If he does end up not doing any more, this franchise goes out on a very high ...
Pros: Fast-paced action, ultra-realistic fight scenes, awesome on-location filming, and solid acting. Cons: A bit of a slow start.
"Bourne Ultimatum" is the highly-anticipated finale to the Bourne series, and that's lamentable. What isn't is that we didn't have to wait as long as we did for the "Terminator" and "Die Hard" franchises. And even though all 3 Terminators rank among my ...
Pros: Matt Damon, Cohesive structured story, Ideal Trilogy Cons: Hyper-aggressive camera direction
Is there really anything that Bourne cant accomplish? Battle multiple people with highly-trained lethal attacks, effectively navigate through several high speed car chases, constantly avoiding capture and evading every type of surveillance, oh yeah, ...
Pros: great action scenes, car chases
a few good plot twists Cons: plot can be confusing at times
If you are looking for a non-stop action movie go no further. If you are looking for a movie which ties up every loose end from previous versions, then you may be disappointed. Those who enjoyed the first 2 movies in this series will want to make sure ...
Pros: Great action sequences, terrific lead by Damon Cons: nothing major, solid all around
“The Bourne Ultimatum,” the third and final chapter in the series based on the books by Robert Ludlum, is probably the best of the trilogy and one of the slickest and most intelligent action films of the year. The movies have never been on the same level ...
Pros: fast paced thriller once the C.I.A turns unto itself. Cons: the action takes a little while to really heat up.
'Ah, but you can't kill me, Louis' Lestat ('Interview with a Vampire') The C.I.A. and Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) find themselves expressing a similar sentiment to each other immediately after 'The Bourne Ultimatum' begins. Bourne is of course on the ...
Pros: Matt Damon, Joan Allen and great cast. Excellently choreographed chase scenes. Cons: They have stuck to the formula with unrelenting zeal.
I love Matt Damon as an actor, I love this series, but it's enough already. You know it's sort of like when you meet someone new, and the first (insert anything here), is great. The next couple of times it's still lots of fun, but over time, you start ...
Pros: Action
Ties Trilogy Together Cons: Loose Ends
Attempted Love Interest
I've seen the other Bourne films. Can't say that I was all that impressed. The action is intense, but with current films becoming more and more intense, it's hard to really shock the audience anymore. Bourne Ultimatum should tie up the loose ends. ...
When last audiences left Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), he had just exposed a coverup and in doing so, extacted revenge upon those who killed his girlfriend and hunted him. In the new thriller "The Bourne Ultimatum", Bourne is back in a big way, as he ...
Pros: If you've seen the other two Bourne movies you must complete the story. Cons: Blurry action scenes and boring non-action scenes.
First off I must say that I like the concept of the story and think Matt Damon is a cutie. However, I did not enjoy this movie. The major problem with this movie is how the filmed it. Were they using personal handheld cameras run by someone with the ...
Pros: The first two in this series Cons: Only the direction, camera work, dialog, stunts, etc.
I am all for hiring the handicapped, but hiring a blind director and a camera person suffering from serious palsy is beyond common sense. This movie should have been a slam dunk. The first two were very good. Direction, camera work, actors and action ...
Pros: Matt Damon is good-looking and a pretty fair actor Cons: Monochromatic visuals, preposterous antics, boring chasing/driving/shooting/killing/smashing/yelling etc.over-edited
Sorry folks, but I really found the whole show disappointing. Visually it's more of that current trend towards monochromatic blue/green presentation.Totally unnatural looking, even the daytime scenes were the same monotonous green/blue/dark colour ...
Pros: Action packed Cons: camera work was a bit off during the fight scenes
Once again Jason Born kicks some you know what and goes on another tough mission. It sure kept me on the edge of my seat to say the least! I have to say the camera work was poor when it came to the fight scenes. The plot is a bit confusing but you get the point. A must see if you liked the previous movies.
Pros: Good story, tight action scenes, really bad guys and the cast was good. Cons: Shaky Cam Shaky Cam Shaky Cam Shaky Cam Shaky Cam Shaky Cam Shaky Cam
Shaky cam is stupid. It may be OK for a few minutes in a movie but not for every part. This movie like the last one is almost unwatchable in parts. It was sacrificed at the altar of this director's "artistic vision" which is unfortunate. I am sorry I went to it vs waiting until I could watch it on a smaller screen where that would not bother me so much.
BOURNE... NEED I SAY MORE? by gomavs12345 ,Sep 04 '07
Pros: Amazing Action, Matt Damon, ENDING Cons: NONE!!
In a summer of 3quills(Oceans 13, Pirates 3, Rush Hour 3, Spiderman 3, Shrek 3,) this movie stands out to me as the best movie of the year so far. With MATT DAMON, AMAZING ACTION, AND THE BEST ENDING OF THE TRILOGY, This movie is going to be up with the Lord of the Rings as far as trilogy endings go. Also, This movie is going to DOMINATE the Academy Awards. I Cant wait to watch all three in a row as soon as this movie comes out on DVD.
Pros: Great action scenes and special effects with even better acting. Cons: There could have been more of a story between Bourne and his past.
The Bourne Unlitmatum is by far the best movie in its series. Action packed from the beginning to end, Matt Damon continues to impress throughout the movie. The ending will leave you on the tip of your seat wanting more.
I hated it because of the camera style. I literally almost vomited in the theater. Several times I had to close my eyes because I was getting sick. The camera style and shaky movement, in my opinion, does not create a real sense of "frantic" feeling that the movie is portraying. It looks amateurish and cheap. Although, I think the story line is great and one of the best Bourne movies but I will not see it again and not recommend it.
The Bourne Ultimatum was spectacular by brandyjo1988 ,Aug 11 '07
Pros: Great fights, completion to the other two movies Cons: there are none
The Bourne Ultimatum proved that a third sequel is not bad every time. It just needs a good director and great actors. The Bourne Ultimatum is just as good as the other two and really finished off with an ending that seems complete.
Pros: Fast, thrilling and very enjoyable Cons: Improbable finishes
This film is defined by 5 scenes and thats all it matters. Mind you these are elaborate 15-20 minute sequences. If you wish to enjoy the film the most, you need to sit as far back as possible in a theatre because of its frenetic pace.
The car chase sequence in NY is amazing but the camera zooms in and out so fast its very easy to miss something.
Matt enters a CIA deputy directors office in NY in a highrise building and escapes so easily..
The tanjiers foot chase is really good and Matt Damon somehow managing to save Julia stiles from a CIA contract killer against impossible odds.
Matt Damon trying his best to save the London reporter at a busy terminal.
Matt Damons tricks to escape CIA agents trail at the apartment of Madrid CIA station chief
All in all an enjoyable movie, will not be bored..
The director seems to imply that there will be a fourth installment considering how Matt Damon escapes unharmed from a highrise building jump in the river below in the last scene.
Of all the three installments this one had the most glaring flaws.
Absolutely amazing movie! by moshikolondon ,Aug 18 '07
Pros: The best movie I have seen this year. Definitely the best! Cons: Shame this is the last one.
The action doesn't stop. You might get 30 seconds once in a while to breath otherwise top action all the time. The movie is filmed as clips, fast moving, non-stop action. Loved it, loved it, loved it - you HAVE to go and see it if you like action movies. The locations are great - I love the international scenes in the movie - this one the best locations in total out of the three movies. The ending of the movie is brilliant too - when the tune from teh previous movie starts to play... Bourne Ultimatum - don't miss it! Loved the London scenes too - bus 243 which I use daily was there too!! ;-)
