Pros: Swinton and Neeson lead a solid cast Cons: Some story elements aren't explained well enough
Summary: The Pevensie children have been sent away to avoid becoming casualties of war. Their mother (Judy McIntosh) has a way of sending them away from the dangers of World War II England. Her husband is in the service of England. She has called on a relative, ... read more

Pros: A truly spectacular movie, great storyline, great special effects Cons: The so - called"death" scene of Aslan could be too sad for children to handle
Summary: I have to admit I don't often go to the movies, first of all due to the expense now, and second since my local theatre doesn't have many great movies I'd be interested in seeing. Therefore, if there is a movie that looks like it is something I'd like to ... read more

Pros: So true to the Lewis books, characters & message. Cons: Not long enough!
Summary: I had waited my whole life for this movie, having grown up on the C.S. Lewis books. This movie makes the White Witch look dangerous, not an easy thing to do, to make a woman look truly nasty...not sexy-nasty...but yuck keep-her-away-from me nasty. The ... read more

Pros: This is a good film with talking animals, and a fantasy world. Good family movie. Cons: some long drawn out parts.
Summary: This is a great movie of fairy tale, and family. There is a great underlying message sent through this film. Family, and support can take you a long way when you can depend on them to act as a whole, or a single unit. Of course there are many out who ... read more

Pros: Great acting, graphics, great story-line Cons: none!
Summary: I will just start by saying how wonderfully perfect timing this movie was. The 100 years of cold really could apply to the watcher because it was so cold in our world. The special effects were fantastic, the acting terrific, and the story line great. ... read more

Pros: Stunning visuals, great sets, great costumes, faithful to the original storyline Cons: Melodramatic overacting, thin plot elements, gaping plot holes.
Summary: Before I start, let me say that this review will contain minor spoilers. But as the stories have been out over 50 years, I don't think I'm revealing anything people don't already know. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the ... read more

Pros: Beautiful story Cons: Some bluescreen glitches
Summary: I have a three year old and a 17 month old. We love watching this movie, but I do fast forward through the opening scenes and the war scenes between Peter's army and the White Witch's army. Those scenes are too frightening for a youngster. The kids are ... read more

Pros: Great special effects, drama and action. Great hidden meanings to ponder. Cons: Child actors were a bit on stage. The snow seemed too fake in some scenes.
Summary: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe...let's go see it again and again. Let it run forever and let us shout out every line. I don't go see movies more than once. Sometimes once is more than enough and I regret wasted time. This ... read more

Pros: Looks beautiful, technically flawless. Cons: Boring, soulless, no personality.
Summary: Perhaps it is nostalgia for the original C.S. Lewis novels that ruined this movie for me, but I think I would have been bored and disappointed whether or not I'd ever read the Chronicles of Narnia as a child. Sure, everything looks perfect. Aslan ... read more

Pros: Visual effects, soundtrack, Tumnus. Cons: The Queen's costume, Edmund's acting.
Summary: The Chronicles of Narnia was an amazing movie. The imagination is captured from the opening scene, which features airplanes dropping bombs on London, to the closing, where the Pevensies return to the Professor's home. The best part of this movie was ... read more

Pros: Amazing adventure - loved the cast. Evoked deep emotion. Cons: Much too scary and violent for a PG rating.
Summary: Yes the movie has a lot of Christian symbolism and that may turn many people off, but really, what is wrong with that? Why should we take Christian meaning out of everything and be so politically correct all the time? I understand that some people are ... read more

Pros: Storyline, acting, special effects, and sound. Cons: Mr. Tumnus's character flatly acted and poorly costumed.
Summary: The first order of business I took care of before entering the theater. I was told by a friend, and heeded the advice to NOT COMPARE THIS TO LORD OF THE RINGS (LOR)! Cinematically, this film was gorgeous but true to the book in its inclusion ... read more

Pros: Good child casting and acting. Tilda Tilda Tilda Cons: Mediocre direction, rather dull action highlights, predictable CGI.
Summary: A lot of the reviews and comments Ive read about the Chronicles of Narnia here at epinions and elsewhere mention how the film is an allegory of the New Testament and a story of Jesus Christ. This mimics a few professional reviews that also claimed ... read more

Pros: Breath taking scenes, costume design. Cons: A lack of depth from an actress
Summary: Clive Staples Lewis (November 29, 1898-Nov 22, 1963) was an Irish born novelist and devout Prodestant who incorporated his strong religous faith into his literature. Lewis' younger days were filled with a passion for "dressed animals" and a love for ... read more
