“Though grim from the Grey King shadows fall, yet singing the golden harp shall guide”

by Greatpilgrim Greatpilgrim is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Books, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, May 02 '02
Pros: very richly woven myth and modern story
Cons: a main character that’s somewhat dislikable; a bit confusing to jump in on

Great book: The Grey King

by NadiaFlower , Nov 18 '99
Pros: It was very suspenseful.
Cons: If you take too long to read it, the suspense can wear off, and it can become very boring.
The Grey King was a very suspenseful and hard to put down. The author, Susan Cooper, had a style that built up the suspense of the book. She would tell you most of the information, and hold back the final, completing piece until much later in the book....
