Pros: Decent cast, intense suspenseful final 20 minutes. Cons: Very violent, herky jerky shaky camera work.
Summary: I wasn't going to bother posting a review for The Kingdom but it has too high a rating and too many overly positive reviews for me to not put my two cents in here at Epinions. The Kingdom is essentially a dumbed down action ... read more

Pros: Good balance in the portrayal of two cultures. Cons: Camera shake.
Summary: Love it or hate it this film is guaranteed to make you think. Don't go if you want mindless entertainment or a movie full of warm fuzzies. It's thought provoking, action packed and hard hitting. This review is about the movie The Kingdom. ... read more

Pros: Decent acting, good action, interesting plot Cons: Action desolves into cartoonishness in the end.
Summary: When I saw the trailers for this I thought this might be the next Syriana. The political games of the US and the Wahhabist culture of Saudi Arabia with an Al-Qaeda cell thrown in for excitement. I was a little weary of the inclusion of Jamie Foxx ... read more

Pros: Great action scenes, thought provoking and exciting Cons: Jamie Foxx is not the strongest character but others make up for it
Summary: I saw this in the US prior to UK release and you would expect a US audience to be totally pro-FBI and all that butt-kicking of the terrorist threat. Instead the film's opening credits give a pictorial history of the Saudi / West relationship and how Al ... read more

Pros: Mostly accurate, exciting third act/ending, great performances Cons: Unsteady camera-work
Summary: Upon watching the trailer for The Kingdom, I immediately knew that it'd be the kind of film that would spark a completely positive reaction from its audiences, or the total opposite. You'll either thoroughly enjoy it, or hate it. In my opinion, ... read more

Pros: emotional undertones, mirroring and repetition used well Cons: plot holes, thin characters, extremely violent and gory, ending relies on coincidence
Summary: They struck during the company picnic, then again an hour later after the first responders arrived for maximum damage. Masquerading as policemen - we hope they're all masquerading - first they shot, then they bombed. Little children playing softball, ... read more

Pros: Great performances, well-done style and technique, fantastically staged action sequences Cons: A bit of a narrow view of the US/Muslim conflicts in the Middle East
Summary: Walking out of this movie I looked at my two friends that I saw it with and we all agreed that this was a pretty kick-*** flick, and I think it's a sure shot that everyone in the crowd agreed as well due to the fact that by the end of the movie people ... read more

Pros: Great cast, extremely intense at times, not preachy, realism of camera views/use Cons: not the best character development
Summary: The Kingdom is the type of film that make you think during and after the viewing. At its heart are many issues about the Middle East, and truly is a film that can hit home right now. The film starts with a view through the eye of terrorists, as ... read more

Pros: Lightens your pockets Cons: Unrealistic concept, bad acting, tasteless violence (machine gunning children)
Summary: Terrible movie with an unlikely plot. FBI agents go on a shooting rampage in an extremely radical area of Saudi Arabia with no political consequences (the bungle is considered a success). Children are blown up with bombs and explicitly gunned down
