Pros: Joy Mangano made a fortune selling these mops on television. Cons: Pain and suffering; planned obsolescence; heavy when wet and almost impossible to wring

Miracle Mop
by robovamp ,Jan 02 '04
Pros: Bleachable! True sanitation, in a market filled with so many misguided germ-fighters. Cons: True, changing the mophead can be a bit athletic. It can take 1-2 minutes.
As the owner of several pets, with absolutely no carpeting in my home, I have a high mopping quotient. After running through too many cheap, sponge-headed mops to count, which were often replaced when they fell apart after 4-6 uses, I have been thrilled with my miracle mop for the last 5 years. One mop, the two heads it came with, and 4 additional replacements, which are sanitized and rotated have served me well.
We mop the entire house about every two days. These mopheads have been bleached every week, at least, for years. They have never decayed and left debris on my floor like a sponge mop head. The metal ring actually is what usually goes.
I would enthusiastically recommend this product be used in all homes with allergic, asthmatic, or immunosuppressed inhabitants (remember, ALL babies and elderly are immunocompromised). Also, small businesses such as professional kitchens, animal-based businesses, and day cares could benefit from it's excellent performance and economy per use. Not a good choice for someone with limited mobility or strength in their hands, if they don't have a helper to change the heads for them.

Miracle Mop
by slpllp ,Aug 23 '08
Pros: Bleachable mop head lasts for years! Don't have to get your hands wet! Cost effective! Cons: A little hard to put together until you get the hang of it.
I LOVE my Miracle Mop! I've used it for the last 12 years. It's the only mop I'll use. It is so hard to find now days. I've been through about four sets in the last twelve years. But I use it at least once a week usually twice. The head is a little hard to put together but well worth the hassle to be able to take it apart and bleach it. It's the only mop out there that is truly sanitary. I've tried many other options (electric floor cleaners swiffer ect.) but nothing works as well, are is as cost effective. I can even mop the base boards with it or the walls if my sons makes a real mess! I don't know what I would do without it!
