Pros: Motivational, easy to read, and life-changing Cons: None
I can not write enough on how this book changed my life. The uplifting story of Peekay is a motivating factor in my life today. If you are contemplating reading this book, then you must take a shot. You will not be disappointed. The book may start slightly slowly but once you are past the first 80 pages, then you will not be able to put it down. The story is fictional but depicts a young english boy, Peekay, growing up in a South Africa that upholds apartheid. Peekay reaches the brink of manhood through a struggle with himself, others, and the environment in which he is raised. Through his love of boxing Peekay is able to overcome.
