I don't order too many things online, but I must admit that this was one of the easiest purchases I've made so far! They had the lowest price on the item that I wanted (shipping included). I placed my order via their website and promptly received an e-mail confirmation saying that my order was shipped along with a UPS tracking number. To top it off, I received my order a day early. Can't beat it!

I thought these reviews were fake. Boy was I wrong! I admit I was skeptical at first. Only 62 reviews, all of them with high accolades, and they were selling a Samsung SIR-T165 for $200.00 less than the brick and mortar store in town! Yeah right. I placed my order while reminding myself that my credit card had a 100% fraud protection guarantee. One week to the day, I had my package. It was an unopened box, complete with all accessories and delivered to my door. The UPS tracking number was emailed to me in a timely manner and I was able to track the arrival of my new toy in real time. The best price, UPS tracking number, and the product I ordered was what I received. I do not know how they will stay in business with such low prices, but I will recommend them to everyone I know, and even you guys, who I don’t know. These guys are believable!

I ordered a Crosley antique combination radio/phone/cassette/CD for my aunt. Twister had the best price. Nearly $50 less than closest competitor. Think they are out of Brooklyn New York, but evidently have warehouses around the country. My order arrived in less than 5 days from the day I ordered. Came out of Austin, Texas and so short trip to Oklahoma.

Doing business with Twister Group was perfect in every way. They answered emails promptly, and they were very friendly. I found them trustworthy and honest. I ordered a TEAC shelf system and it came promptly -- I had it less than a week after I put in the order online. They shipped it by UPS but UPS didn't deliver it the day scheduled (a Friday) because of the wrong house address. I emailed Twister Group so they would know so I wouldn't loose any warranty days in case something was wrong with it and immediately they called UPS. We ended up going to UPS to pick it up that night and when I got there they said someone had just called about it. When I got home there were emails apologizing and telling me they had called UPS. I was thrilled to find a shelf system with a turntable. It works perfectly. I would definitely buy from Twister Group again. I highly recommend them.

They had the product I was looking for, a Pioneer DEH-P4500 car radio, in stock and the sale price was lower than the major retailers. Plus, they charged no sales tax and offered free shipping. I ordered an item from the Twister Group because all the other low-cost sites I went to were out of stock. Twister had 1 in stock. I placed my order around 2pm EST on a Wednesday. It has taken until 1030pm EST on Friday night to get a shipment confirmation email from them. So it took them about 55 hours to ship an item that was in stock. In my considerable experience as an internet shopper, this is a very long time.
Just about every other e-tailer that I am used to buying from gets the item shipped out the door on the same day or at latest, early the next day.
If you don't mind waiting for your merchandise, I suppose Twister Group is OK. It will be another week before my item even arrives. For my 2 cents, I won't be buying from them again.
And one other thing that peeves me about The Twister Group is they don't have a phone # to call for customer support; only a fax or email.

FedEx lost the delivery and FedEx said that the Twister group, the shipper, must file the claim. Sales support at the Twister group took several emails over a series of seven says to follow-up and would not re-ship unless FedEx granted their claim. Fortunately FedEx found the lost package ten days later. I emailed Twister sales with the news. -no response.
Delivery speed is slow, still haven't received it, though other orders from other sites ordered the same day have already arrived. Still haven't received a return email from them to find out where my item is. It's as if once they took my money they no longer recognize my existence.

Since writing this review sometime ago...I have found "The Twister Group" to be quite an inferior place to shop online. Their service and attitude towards customers leaves more than little to be desired and their S&H charges are still a bit high when compared with other modern online stores. You may get a great price on a camcorder battery but then they offset it with a $10 S&H!
This was acceptable a few years ago but not anymore as the internet highway has been crammed with seriously more...and better competition in more recent days that charge actual real time S&H.
Furthermore...I am now receiving countless emails every week from people who have been abused by Twister's rude service dept. Had I actually known all this when I made my initial report...I would never have recommended them.

So I end up with buying the whole system again (of course from other seller!) and with (unintended) two speakers.

I ordered the Garmin Street Pilot 2720 because the price was very good. Their website malfunctioned and two orders were submitted. When I got verification for two I contacted them immediately (within 5 hours) to cancel one order. They shipped two orders anyway and then demanded I pay the $150.00 restocking fee plus shipping if I wanted to return the one I didn't order. My main complaint was how rude, unprofessional and accusatory they were. They denied any responsibility for the malfunction, told me three times "we can't read your mind." Ironically because of their exorbitant shipping costs I would have got a cheaper deal on Amazon.com. They charged me two separate shipping charges even tho they shipped both items together. They were so nasty and rude, I decided to donate the second one to a hospital charity's silent auction rather than try to deal with them again. I did file a complaint with Paypals (they were no help) and my credit card company.
Hostile. Ad had price vendor later claimed was erroneous. I received a cheaper unit. Before breaking shrink wrap, I called the vendor, tried to return it. Vendor insisted it was my fault because I hadn't checked all the fine print, SKU and model numbers, clauses on returns and restocking, etc., He insisted on $71 restocking fee and $50+ shipping charge. I stopped credit card payment. Vendor threatened to report me to credit agencies and send bill collectors. I posted negative review here. After pressure from many others, he agreed to refund price, without restocking or shipping charges. He said person he claims created erroneous ad agreed to reimburse him for restocking and shipping charges. However, before giving me my credit, he insisted that I remove the negative review from this site. (This distorts the ratings on this site--vendor pressures you to remove negative ratings, so don't believe the high averages.)
After I returned merchandise, merchant reneged and recharged my credit card for the $71 and referred the shipping charge to local bill collector, even though he supposedly already collected both of these from the other party. I have filed complaints against this merchant in both Illinois and New York.

I tried to purchase a 7.2V NiCad battery and charger from this company through Buy.com. The batter with charger was ordered on the 20th of March. Nine days later, no email follow-up, notification of the reseller’s information including contact and no battery and charger. After finally getting the contact information regarding the reseller (see below) I went to their site to check for availability of the item I ordered. Get this. The same item listed as selling on Buy.com from “Twister” as the reseller is know is $19.29. On his site, the same item sells for $14.12.
UPDATE 4/2/7 I received the following email today from
the sales department of The Twister Group.
"We feel that we have to inform all online merchants community that you a potential fraudulent buyer. We will add your name, address and email to the list of people to avoid. Furthermore, to alleviate an impact of your unfair feedback, we reserve the right to use your personal information to resell to advertisement channels. Now it is your turn to decide if our company deserve your blame for lack of Buy.com response." Unless I remove this feedback they will sell my personal information.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever heard of in my life. I received a broken GPS at no fault to Twister Group yet when I called for an RMA # I found out he would not refund my money and compared me to people who go around defrauding everyone (including the government)and called me a "Fraudulent Buyer" and said he would add me to a "list of fraudulent buyers". He then lied to VISA when I filed a complaint (which is recommended by VISA) and he further said he would try to collect restocking fees through "collections" after lying to VISA. I am now suing The Twister Group and folliwng up with his scam on restocking and double shipping fees with the State of Illinois. Biggest fraud I have seen using the oldest scam in the books and that false restocking and double shipping fees on a broken product. This is a crime! DO NOT BUY FROM HIM unless you like to be called names and threatened over a broken GPS!

I would not buy from this facility again. 20 minutes after ordering a headset, they cancelled my order and when I tried to get in touch with them and see why they cancelled my order, I could not get an answer. They told me that they could not find my order when I had given them the order number and everything that they could possibly need. There is no phone number to call and see what is going on. It is all based off of an e-mail system, and they take forever to get back to you. I do not recommend using this site to buy much of anything.
Customer Service is HORRIBLE. They tell you something in writing then say they are not responsible for what they say. Wish I would have looked at some of the other comments for the Twister Group before I purchased from them. Even with the lowest price I would never purchase from them again.

Of course, by the time he used it (after his birthday), it was after the 30 day time period and the knob that changes the turntable from record player to CD, etc. has a short in it and the company has totally washed their hands of us - I will never buy from them again.

30-day return policy is a problem with Christmas giving. The product description on their web site was inaccurate, and the problem was not discovered until after the gift was opened and taken out of the box. We wanted to return the wrong item to Twister for credit toward a more expensive phone system, but their response was "we only offer 30 days return period." Period.
I am absolutely APPALLED at the way I was treated by their so-called "customer service". When I inquired about the length of time it is taking to get my order, I was met with sarcasm and a foul attitude. My question was not meant to anger or demean anyone; it was just a curiosity. At that point, I was completely surprised and taken aback, not quite sure I had heard the gentleman (and I use that term loosely!!!!) correctly. Not only did he make it clear to me that it was not his problem, but when I asked for a supervisor, HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! Upon my call back, I DEMANDED to speak with his supervisor, and he informed me that he had none (the only employee?? yeah right!), and then threatened to hang up on me again!!! In my opinion, the order could be absolutely perfect, and that would STILL not convince me to do business with this company again. Their customer service is severely lacking, flawed, and for all intensive purposes....non-existent.

Do not order on-line from this company. The company is very rude and unhelpful. The company refuse to acknowledge their responsibilty of shipping order as indicated by customer. Will never buy anything again from them.
They have inaccurate listing headings and don't care if they ship you the wrong item. The header clearly stated cannon pixma mx700 and I received an mx300 instead. They refused to correct the error and I'm still waiting for a refund two weeks after they received the printer. They say they are not going to refund all my money, and insist on taking a profit in restocking fees.
My small company purchased 4 Plantronics Headsets for use in our Customer Service Department. We spent approx. $400.
Two months later, each unit started to fade out on us and then ceased working all together.
Their 30 day return policy was shoved in our face, even though the products were clearly used and that was NOT what we purchased.
An order I placed with Twister Group was canceled by them. When I called to find out why, the customer service rep. was curt and downright rude. I told him I would buy the item elsewhere. He told me that was fine.
I tried to cancel an order an hour and half after I purchased the item. The customer service rep said he could cancel my order but that it would be too much of a hassle to find it in the delivery van. Plus, don't call by phone because they claim not to have a customer service, that's why there so cheap. They put all there funds in "fast delivery."

Behold, it 'changed' when I ordered (67 units sold out immediately), and I was told it was my fault because my shipping address was different. They were rude (see below)as well. Horrible, cheap prices maybe, but you know what they say, "you get what you pay for" Horrible customer service, I could not read their e-mails correctly due to spelling errors. I ordered a simple CD from them 2 day shipping, (paid more for shipping than the CD) because I wanted it quick and it was in stock.(According to their website) Here it is exactly one week later and I just received confirmation it was shipped! and, I had to contact them to get the confirmation! i ordered an item that was showing in stock. after a couple of hours, i got a rather terse email saying that item was out of stock, with no further explanation as to whether it would be shipped later or whether the order was canceled. when i wrote to complain, i was threatened not to write a negative review, otherwise, my information would be posted as a 'fraudulent buyer.' these are direct quotes from the twister group's customer service emails: 'Please note that if we find any negative publicity we'll have to add your information to fraudulent databases' and, finally, 'We just added all your information to a couple of databases shared by many merchants as potentially fraudulent buyer. Hopefully they'll figure if they want to process your order after these posts.'
You figure if you want to do business with merchants like this.

Awful customer service, I will never deal with this company again. Canceled my order without even asking, saying the credit card information did not match. This is a company card, used numerous times without incident. Be wary dealing w/a company w/no posted phone number for customer service. The e-mails I received were all extremely rude & unlike anything I have ever encountered shopping online.
Update: 24 hours after posting my review the company e-mailed me with the threat of adding my information to blacklists of fraudulent buyers.
* So now you know you're dealing with a very nasty & vindictive company that has no respect for individual opinion based on experience. It gets better;
The Twister Group threatened me since I badmouthed their company on Shopping.com they are going to inform other merchants that I am trying to use someone else's card and provide incorrect billing address, so that other stores will be careful of dealing with such buyer.

SCAM ARTISTS.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! I purchased a wireless video camera from the Twister Group. the item was packages terribly and once i hooked it up, the wireless did not work. I called the tech support from the company i bought it from and they said it was defective. When i emailed the twister group for a return authorization they were EXTREMELY RUDE IN THEIR EMAIL. They told me they will charge me a 20% restocking fee even though the item is broke!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I should've listened to the reviews. I ordered a couple items from this online retailer and paid for expedited shipping. We were told the items were shipped with the expedited shipping. Fedex had a delay in shipping and whe I requested a refund The Twister Group they told me I couldn't get a refund and even went as far as to threaten me if I would attempt totry and get my money back.
As it turns out, they didn't even ship it expedited as I requested and paid for.
This company lie and uses threats to intimidate.
They run this business out of a small run down house in Illinois and drop ship from other places.
Beware of this seller, you won't get what you pay for, and when you complain you will get threats of runining your credit if you attempt to get a refund.
This company was awful for me. I accidentally purchased the wrong fuser for my printer and of course, didn't realize it until I went to put it down into the printer. Because I had cut the plastic off of the fuser -- they refused to take it back. Now I'm stuck with a fuser that cost me $185 and have no use for it at all.
They were completely unwilling to work with me on this return. DO NOT buy from them if you think in any way you might need to return something. Total lack of customer service.
Product not as described. Restocking fee even if their error. When asserted right to challenge charge, was threatened with "collection agency." Buyer Beware!

The only possible complaint I could ever make is: The last four on my coupon card is the same color as the box in which they are printed. So I failed to submit them and twister allowed the order to be processed without the correct number of digits and followed up with a cancellation notice. I was out-of-town and did not get the notice for a few days. If this had been a time-sensitive order, then it could not have been reordered. I never received an email with shipping or tracking numbers until 5 days after the order I emailed Twister. I got an immediate reply with tracking number and information that my credit card had been credited for the part of the order that was backordered. [I got part of my order the next day]. I am not sure if I have to order again or will Twister send me my backorder when it comes in? [When I ordered I checked availability. It was reported as "in stock" but then it was backordered. Regardless they accept my CC and on additional request I send scanned images of both sides of my CC, and scaned my last bill from the bank and signed scan of receipt, they choose to reject my payment and ask to pay by bank transfer with extra fee for money transfer.
It was unacceptable form me and I think that untrustiness from their side is something that I did not deserved.
They spend my time (for scanning and mailing) without any need.

I ordered 3 of the same thermostats as there was a total of 3 listed in stock. After taking my order for the three units and charging me,the merchant shipped me only 2 as they stated this is all they had in stock at that time. I was credited for the one that was not in stock, however, I would have ordered some where else if I knew they could not fill my order of 3 as now I have to pay a second shipping charge when I find a 3rd unit some place else.
They should find me the 3rd unit I ordered and ship it to me free of charge.

Product was received after 3 day delay. This would have been acceptable except that the product was scheduled for on time delivery for Oct 29. I therefore had to be available for this entire day. On Oct 30, UPS entered a delay until Nov 1. I had to disrupt my schedule for two complete days because of late, inaccurate information. It should be noted that the delayed tracking was caused by UPS and not the Twister Group.
Product was damaged -- obviously by the manufacturer (a screw on the plastic vent was tightened too tight breaking the plastic around the screw). The Twister Group refers you to the manufacturer for defects in material or workmanship, but the manufacturer excludes all plastic parts. While the defect is relatively minor and does not render the product unusable, I am not impressed with having to accept a damaged product. While the damage was obviously a manufacturer defect, it is not possible to determine if the Twister Group aware of the defect before they sent it. The manufacturer can simply say that I damaged the plastic piece during installation. Read more
