The Twister Group

I purchased some high-end outdoor rock speakers from The Twister Group.  I immediately received an order confirmation letting me know it would ship in the next 1-2 days.  The order shipped two days later and I received a tracking number.  Items were delivered on the expected delivery date.  Items received in good condition.  I got a great price and fast shipping.  I am very happy with my purchase through The Twister Group.  I wired up my outdoor speaker system and saved half what I was quoted through a local company for the same speakers and installation. 

i ordered an item that was showing in stock. after a couple of hours, i got a rather terse email saying that item was out of stock, with no further explanation as to whether it would be shipped later or whether the order was canceled. when i wrote to complain, i was threatened not to write a negative review, otherwise, my information would be posted as a 'fraudulent buyer.' these are direct quotes from the twister group's customer service emails: 'Please note that if we find any negative publicity we'll have to add your information to fraudulent databases' and, finally, 'We just added all your information to a couple of databases shared by many merchants as potentially fraudulent buyer. Hopefully they'll figure if they want to process your order after these posts.'

You figure if you want to do business with merchants like this.

I ordered a couple items from this online retailer and paid for expedited shipping. We were told the items were shipped with the expedited shipping. Fedex had a delay in shipping and whe I requested a refund The Twister Group they told me I couldn't get a refund and even went as far as to threaten me if I would attempt totry and get my money back.

As it turns out, they didn't even ship it expedited as I requested and paid for.

This company lie and uses threats to intimidate.

They run this business out of a small run down house in Illinois and drop ship from other places.

Beware of this seller, you won't get what you pay for, and when you complain you will get threats of runining your credit if you attempt to get a refund.

Delivery speed is slow, still haven't received it, though other orders from other sites ordered the same day have already arrived. Still haven't received a return email from them to find out where my item is. It's as if once they took my money they no longer recognize my existence.

They have inaccurate listing headings and don't care if they ship you the wrong item. The header clearly stated cannon pixma mx700 and I received an mx300 instead. They refused to correct the error and I'm still waiting for a refund two weeks after they received the printer. They say they are not going to refund all my money, and insist on taking a profit in restocking fees.

RIPOFF ALERT!

Do not order on-line from this company. The company is very rude and unhelpful. The company refuse to acknowledge their responsibilty of shipping order as indicated by customer. Will never buy anything again from them.

Twister Group shipped me broken radio, when i called they threated me for all kind of credit story. I have never had those kind of rude shopping experience in my all life.

They area really very very unprofessional and horrified people.

I surprised how can they still survived in this competitive online industry.

Good luck for the good experience buyer, but you may be the most miserable person when you find some broken items.

They dont like to have any return.

I am absolutely APPALLED at the way I was treated by their so-called "customer service". When I inquired about the length of time it is taking to get my order, I was met with sarcasm and a foul attitude. My question was not meant to anger or demean anyone; it was just a curiosity. At that point, I was completely surprised and taken aback, not quite sure I had heard the gentleman (and I use that term loosely!!!!) correctly. Not only did he make it clear to me that it was not his problem, but when I asked for a supervisor, HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! Upon my call back, I DEMANDED to speak with his supervisor, and he informed me that he had none (the only employee?? yeah right!), and then threatened to hang up on me again!!! In my opinion, the order could be absolutely perfect, and that would STILL not convince me to do business with this company again. Their customer service is severely lacking, flawed, and for all intensive purposes....non-existent.

I WISH I HAD READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE MAKING MY PURCHASE......BUYER BEWARE!! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND LIARS!!!

My small company purchased 4 Plantronics Headsets for use in our Customer Service Department. We spent approx. $400.
Two months later, each unit started to fade out on us and then ceased working all together.

Their 30 day return policy was shoved in our face, even though the products were clearly used and that was NOT what we purchased.

I bought my husband a Crosley Stackable Turntable for his birthday. Of course, by the time he used it (after his birthday), it was after the 30 day time period and the knob that changes the turntable from record player to CD, etc. has a short in it and the company has totally washed their hands of us - I will never buy from them again.

Customer Service is HORRIBLE. They tell you something in writing then say they are not responsible for what they say. Wish I would have looked at some of the other comments for the Twister Group before I purchased from them. Even with the lowest price I would never purchase from them again.

I would not buy from this facility again. 20 minutes after ordering a headset, they cancelled my order and when I tried to get in touch with them and see why they cancelled my order, I could not get an answer. They told me that they could not find my order when I had given them the order number and everything that they could possibly need. There is no phone number to call and see what is going on. It is all based off of an e-mail system, and they take forever to get back to you. I do not recommend using this site to buy much of anything.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever heard of in my life. I received a broken GPS at no fault to Twister Group yet when I called for an RMA # I found out he would not refund my money and compared me to people who go around defrauding everyone (including the government)and called me a "Fraudulent Buyer" and said he would add me to a "list of fraudulent buyers". He then lied to VISA when I filed a complaint (which is recommended by VISA) and he further said he would try to collect restocking fees through "collections" after lying to VISA. I am now suing The Twister Group and folliwng up with his scam on restocking and double shipping fees with the State of Illinois. Biggest fraud I have seen using the oldest scam in the books and that false restocking and double shipping fees on a broken product. This is a crime! DO NOT BUY FROM HIM unless you like to be called names and threatened over a broken GPS!

I tried to purchase a 7.2V NiCad battery and charger from this company through Buy.com. The batter with charger was ordered on the 20th of March. Nine days later, no email follow-up, notification of the reseller’s information including contact and no battery and charger. After finally getting the contact information regarding the reseller (see below) I went to their site to check for availability of the item I ordered. Get this. The same item listed as selling on Buy.com from “Twister” as the reseller is know is $19.29. On his site, the same item sells for $14.12.

UPDATE 4/2/7 I received the following email today from
the sales department of The Twister Group.
"We feel that we have to inform all online merchants community that you a potential fraudulent buyer. We will add your name, address and email to the list of people to avoid. Furthermore, to alleviate an impact of your unfair feedback, we reserve the right to use your personal information to resell to advertisement channels. Now it is your turn to decide if our company deserve your blame for lack of Buy.com response." Unless I remove this feedback they will sell my personal information.

The toaster oven I found at Twister through Froogle.com was in stock and arrived in five days. I am pleased with the timeliness and with the ease of ordering afforded by the website.
