The Twister Group

As a buyer from overseas(Australia), I was a bit apprehensive at spending nearly $5000. However no problems at all, great communications, fast delivery and well packed. Goods exactly as described.

This company makes online purchasing the best option when in urgent need for a product that is not available locally. First, I sent email asking some questions and received an instant reply. Then, after placing my order, I received an order confirmation and tracking number. When the product arrived, I still have questions on how to set it up and sent email to customer support people. Once again, I received an instant answer on where to find the information I was looking for. Low prices, excellent customer support, ease of ordering, good order tracking system, prompt delivery, and great selection of products make this company one of the best on the net. Thank you!

30-day return policy is a problem with Christmas giving. The product description on their web site was inaccurate, and the problem was not discovered until after the gift was opened and taken out of the box. We wanted to return the wrong item to Twister for credit toward a more expensive phone system, but their response was "we only offer 30 days return period." Period.

I was remodeling my house and found everything I needed at the Twister Group -- intercom system, central vacuum, speakers, wires, even a baby monitor. With 3 large purchases behind me I am a very happy customer. The prices are low and service is great...what else can I ask for?

I ordered an item from the Twister Group because all the other low-cost sites I went to were out of stock. Twister had 1 in stock. I placed my order around 2pm EST on a Wednesday. It has taken until 1030pm EST on Friday night to get a shipment confirmation email from them. So it took them about 55 hours to ship an item that was in stock. In my considerable experience as an internet shopper, this is a very long time.

Just about every other e-tailer that I am used to buying from gets the item shipped out the door on the same day or at latest, early the next day.

If you don't mind waiting for your merchandise, I suppose Twister Group is OK. It will be another week before my item even arrives. For my 2 cents, I won't be buying from them again.

And one other thing that peeves me about The Twister Group is they don't have a phone # to call for customer support; only a fax or email.

After ordering the product, I waited 3 business days and had still not received tracking information. I e-mailed customer service and received a reply and tracking information that same day. Even though I had only paid for ground shipping, the item was shipped 3-day select. The product arrived 1 week after the order was placed and worked better than I had expected. I would definitely use The Twister Group again!

Bad return policy and poor package description. I wanted to buy a wireless speaker system, with full components. Turns out I've ordered an additional speaker, not a system. (The description was not that user friendly to me.) They ask 20% fee for return and restock of non-defective goods, which is ridiculous. So I end up with buying the whole system again (of course from other seller!) and with (unintended) two speakers.

Very good on-line purchasing experience. Placed order for a radar detector on-line, received immediate email confirmation and tracking information. Package arrived on my doorstep the day promised. I think it took about 5 days with UPS. The item is new, and well packaged. No complaints at all. This merchant's items were slightly more expensive than the "cheaper" on-line merchants, but I have been burned in the past and did'nt want to go through that again. The smooth transaction was worth the little extra for a reputable company. Thank You!

I have now dealt with The Twister Group twice for ordering a Lenmar charger camcorder battery. Both experiences were wonderful to say the least! My only nid-pickin' with them is their shipping charges but their low prices when combined still make them the champ!


VIP UPDATE! 10/8/07:

Since writing this review sometime ago...I have found "The Twister Group" to be quite an inferior place to shop online. Their service and attitude towards customers leaves more than little to be desired and their S&H charges are still a bit high when compared with other modern online stores. You may get a great price on a camcorder battery but then they offset it with a $10 S&H!

This was acceptable a few years ago but not anymore as the internet highway has been crammed with seriously more...and better competition in more recent days that charge actual real time S&H.

Furthermore...I am now receiving countless emails every week from people who have been abused by Twister's rude service dept. Had I actually known all this when I made my initial report...I would never have recommended them.

Delivery Speed: Excellent, Order Accuracy: Excellent, Customer Service: Excellent. Overall Satisfaction: I am extremely satisfied with the level of service I received from The Twister Group and will continue to purchase merchandise from them indefinitely.

Life is too short to waste it on shopping around. After I found the Twister Group I buy all my electronics from them (if they carry the product I need). So far, we've placed 3 orders (bought digital camera, replacement battery and charger) and they all arrive on time, exactly as describe for the price I am willing to pay.

I wanted to buy a flash drive. But it turned out to be the worst experience I have ever had purchasing by my computer--and I never even got past the credit card stage. In not so many words I was accused of using someone else's credit as if I was some common thief. And their answer was totally unfriendly and humiliating. I will never shop here again even if they turned out to 50% cheaper than the next lowest. Talk about User Unfriendly.

I bought Power Acoustik Amplifier(1600W) for $50 less than sold at any other store. Original packaging, all documents in place, order shipped next day, delivered on time, product quality is great -- I am very impressed. Hey, guys at the Twister Group, I will be back in no time! Thanks!

Placed the order on 4/21/04. Package arrived 4/23/04 at about 3:00pm via my requested 2 day shipping all the way from Arizona to Ohio. Fed Ex tracking was fantastic! All I can say is The Twister Group is the very best the net has to offer! Many net companies can learn from these folks.
