Pros: Improved on regular Tide. Great smell. Cons: It didn't get all the stains out.
Isn't it nice when a free sample arrives in the mail? This happened a couple of weeks ago. I opened up a package and there was a one-load sample of Tide Coldwater detergent. I then remembered filling in a form for the Tide Coldwater ...
Pros: Accomplishes its goal and fulfills its promises to thoroughly clean clothes in cold water. Cons: none
When I became a single mom, money became tight. Very tight! It was at the same time, our county in New York decided to ban the use of laundry detergent saying it was NOT biodegradable. But, Im a bit ahead of myself so let me backtrack ...
Pros: works great, nice scent, cold water Cons: none

Pros: Nice smell. Enough for 26 machine washings. Cons: Wash water not soapy. Dark scum. Not good for white clothes. Just too many shortcomings!
WHY TIDE COLD WATER? I thought that I'd try this detergent just to see if it measures up at all to the powder detergents. I've used powder detergents for years and with very good results. But when I tried THIS detergent, I thought that it would ...
Pros: Did not actually damage my clothes Cons: Did not clean clothes as well, caused rewashing, wrinkled my clothes, smelled too strong
I decided to try this product for two reasons. First I'm very conscious of energy use, and the idea of saving the energy used to heat wash water is an attractive one to me. Second, frugality demands that I take good care of our clothing in order to make ...

Pros: Lower electric/gas bill, clothes last a long time and are fresh and clean Cons: Tide products are generally more expensive than the average detergent

Tide for cold water - powder by freshie ,Apr 01 '05
Pros: Cleaned clothing in cold water Cons: Smell, for me, was way too strong and unnecessary - overpowering
My clothes were clean, using cold water, but for me anyway, the powerful scent they use in it was way too strong and I had to put the opened box in a plastic bag outside on my doorstep and, unfortunately, I won't be able to use it.
Pros: Cleans fine. Cons: Very strong perfumy smell on clothing.
As I sit here writing this review, I smell "perfumy." That's right, the t-shirt that was washed in Tide Coldwater has a strong scent.
Even my wife and daughter, who don't normally object to strongly scented products, complained. Our entire garage smells like this stuff. It isn't a bad smell, but I don't happen to want to smell that way.
It seems to clean well enough (I haven't done a careful comparison with regular detergent), but because of the smell we are going to try something else.
