City Walk is almost basically a one-stop place for entertainment. It contains stores, dining places, arcades, and even a place for bowling. At night, the lights are very pretty, though it can get a bit crowded. There is also a movie theater, so if you were planning to see a movie, you could see it in City Walk. There are also events throughout the year happening at City Walk, so you could check those out. It's a great place to be.

Cons: shuttle stops at 10pm

My family and I live in So. California and go to Universal Studios/City Walk quite often. We usually stay at the Hilton across the street and there is a shuttle that drops off and picks up right at the City Walk. The sushi place there is good and the kids love going to Gladstone's. I don't recommend Hard Rock..the food is really blah. The (I think it's called) Saddle Ranch Steak House/Bar is a lot of fun with the outdoor bar and mechanical bull, very friendly and helpful management. I also love the live music in the main "hub" of the area. The absolute BEST time of year is during the Christmas season when there are carolers dressed up and singing, even more lights, and the best part is when they blow snow in the main area of the walk. You can even ice skate in there outdoor rink...pretty fun for the whole family.

Cons: ghetto and riff raff crowd, parking issue

Universal city walk is a nice place to go, lots of stores and attractions, nice hilly terrain, colorful artificial neon signs
The problem is its population, basically the NoHo ghetto seems to go there, on weekends it looks like gang day!
Another annoyance is the parking fee of 10 bucks so it is necessary to park down the hill
