Pros: Torque, handling, two trunks, the smell of leather in the morning Cons: My contractor doubled his hourly rate when he saw me driving this car! The Bottom Line: The snobs can have the 911. I'll pack my bags, get a tan, get there just as fast and save some money all at the same time.
"Ew, you wanna get the Poor-Man's Porsch", my girlfriend said when I brought home the sales book for the 2000 Boxster S. "No, that was the 924, sugar plum. This car will run circles around that lemon AND you can get a tan!" My previous car was a mint...

Pros: looks, handling, fun, It's a Porsche Cons: no back seat The Bottom Line: Because of the dealer and Porsche's choices/actions, this will be my last new Porsche. I can no longer recommend the car. Still fun to drive though.
I leased this vehicle because my 1999 Boxster was NOT reliable, after being on a flatbed 3 times in 10 months, I wanted out. I loved the car, but it just wasn't reliable enough. I wasn't prepared to give up on Porsche, so I'm trying again.

Pros: Better than the Boxster in every way except price; Looks like a 911; Tiptronic option available Cons: Not a 911; Tiptronic option available
Despite looking great, I've reserved strong positive opinions about the Boxster because of its less-than-stellar performance for a Porsche. Enter the Boxster S - what the Boxster should have been. In the market between the relatively cheap base Boxster...

Pros: Gorgeous styling. Smooth driving. Exceptional handling. Cons: Plastic rear window is high maintenance. No place for beverages. Wish there was more low-end torque.
I recently took possession of a 2000 Boxster. I’d be lying if I said that the ~5 months of waiting wasn’t painful. Now that I've made it through the 1,000 mile break-in period, the fun is starting to begin!
Ordering Process:
Many (most?)...

Pros: The most sports car of all roadsters Cons: Also the most expensive of all roadsters
In the early 1990s, the Porsche organization saw its financial debts mount as showroom sales continued their downward slide from its peak in 1987. Faced with the prospect of going out of business or becoming another acquisition in a larger automaker's...

Pros: Lets just say ATTENTION!! Very Attractive. You will be the envy of the road! Cons: Plastic rear window, a little loud inside the car (engine noise). The Bottom Line: I would have to conclude by highly recommending the Boxster to anyone who wishes complete driving trill. These cars are absolutely the MOST beautiful moderate-priced toys on the road.
All I can say is GET YOU ONE! Sure, the car does'nt ride like a Cadillac, but the looks well make up for it. I have owned this car for quite a while now and have loved every minute of it.
WHY I WANTED IT?
Just the looks you get driving...

Pros: Sweet and deceptively exotic look, silky handle, reasonable price, attentive dealer service. Cons: Too many cars want to race you in highway. Expensive flat tire incident. The Bottom Line: Standard Boxster is enough for style obsessed, with powerful acceleration and curve traction. No one will believe you only pay 50K for it. You will be followed.
My impulse to pledge down 50K on a Boxster was from a 3hr road trip to New York city when I saw this ...

Pros: Superb transmission paired with excellent engine. Cons: Interior is poor generally, and specifically, it needs cup holders. The Bottom Line: Get one. But only if it has the excellent manual transmission.
One of the great frustrations of a sports car driver is having his involvement with the vehicle limited. And, the best two ways to limit that involvement are (1) an automatic transmission, or, (2) a bad transmission. Developing a good ...

Pros: Shexy beast. Cons: High running costs (duh!), normal seats don't fit me. The Bottom Line: Emotion beats reason. There is no substitute.
Owning a Porsche is like dating a sexy woman. It is an experience that isn't for everyone. She attracts a lot of attention, she costs a lot of money, she takes up too much time, she isn't the best looking, and she might break your heart. But when she is ...

Pros: Great body design and acceleration Cons: Only two seater - not many drawbacks
The new Boxster S is a real piece of art. The S model has 250 hp and for around 50k this car is your best bet for fast cars at a low price. You have to admire the body design and the 3.2 liter engine. The reason the car is called a Boxster is because of...

I believe that the Porsche Boxster is one of the best cars ever built. This car is meant for all ages. If you need a fast car to impress the ladies, here it is. Or if you need a sleek, stylish, and fast car for leisure, the Boxster is it. Believe...

Pros: Luxury, Performance, Safety Cons: Try and find some
For starters forget the price tag it has no relevancy what so ever in this article. This vehicle provides jaw-dropping performance while maintaining a luxury atmosphere. The new Porsche Boxster S has to be one of the most breath taking cars I've ever...

Pros: It's sooo fast. Handles sooo well. You'll drool sooo much. Cons: Interior *still* cheapy looking, though getting better. Rather cramped with the top up.
Ahhhh... where to start?
To avoid sounding like a weenie wannabe I should perhaps start off by saying I currently own an Audi TT which will be traded in on one of these bad boys. My dealer has informed me that there are only 15 other people on...

Pros: People's reactions, fun to drive, well thought out. Cons: So-so stereo, vinyl back window, rainy days.
The 2000 Porsche Boxster is my first convertible car. Sure, I'd been a passenger in ragtops, but never fell in love with them. The Boxster is a dream to drive and own. The cockpit is simple but well designed. The gauges have the best of both worlds,...

After three years on the market, the Porsche Boxster has been given two new performance increases. The one which is available on the new Boxster S, with its engine bored and stroked from 2.5 to 3.2 liters and elevated from 201 to 250 hp. Accompanying the...
