Pros: gas mileage, reliable, sturdy, comfortable, safe Cons: None-I love this car! The Bottom Line: This car is a great car whether you are single or have a family.
This car is totally reliable and cost-effective in the world of high gas prices.
Why I bought this car: I bought this car in the summer of 2001 when the new 2002 Toyota Corollas had just come out. I have had this car for 6 years and have loved every minute with this car. Let me tell you the many reasons why... The ...

Pros: Resale, reliability, fuel economy. Well worth the investment. Cons: Engine performance a bit below par for a car in this price range. The Bottom Line: When considering a new car, as a recent college graduate worried about the recession, my foremost consideration is resale value and reliability. The Corolla fits the bill.
The 2002 Toyota Corolla remains firmly in the tradition of the durable, economical and above average performance vehicles that I think most people have come to expect out of the Corolla. After all, resale value is absolutely tremendous, and although I...

Pros: cheap, good car when you don't want your other one torn up Cons: uncomfortable, ugly, terrible at high speed, bad for tall people The Bottom Line: I don't recommend this car without options. No frills good gas mileage = "when can I afford a better car?"
(To read my 1 year evaluation of owning this car, please scroll down. The review immediately below was written about a week after I got the car.) Before I start my review, I just want you to know some background info: I am 20 years old, 6 feet tall, ...

Pros: Fuel-efficient and reliable engine/brand. Cons: Its compact size and light weight. The Bottom Line: I recommend Toyota brand car! Corolla is a great choice if you usually drive along and are conscious about fuel-efficiency.
I own a car, but I leave all the technical/mechanical stuff to my guy friends and Toyota mechanics, so this review will be purely from the user (aka "one-who-can-drive-the-car-but
-does-not-know-much-more-other
-than-how-to-drive-it")
perspective. ...

Pros: Visibility, Trunk Space Cons: Tires, Build quality, Engine, Brakes, Safety (scary in the rain), Options expensive The Bottom Line: I wouldn't dare drive it again for fear of losing my life. I'd recommend the Hyundai Elantra without hesitation over the Corolla.
Maybe there was a "This vehicle should not be driven in the rain" warning sticker on the car, but I sure couldn't find it. I found that out by accident while driving this thing. And let me tell you, it was a scary experience...
Perhaps if...

Pros: The quality of the construction and gas mileage improvements. Better version of a great model Cons: We could find none-that is why we bought The Bottom Line: The Toyota Corolla is the best Corolla we have ever seen , driven or had the pleasure of inspecting close up. We are in for the long term .
My wife and I own a 1994 Toyota Corolla LE that we bought new . It was the basic model with a stereo and no air bags . We cannot have air bags as my wife is 4ft.11in. I am 5ft. 10in . this was the last model to come without them.
We had such...

Back in the summer of 2001, company business dictated that I commute 80 miles each way to a job site for 6 weeks.
My V10 engined F250 Super Duty was going to be expensive and impractical to run and so I rented a compact. I had never owned a...

Pros: Good Handling, Nice Looks, Sporty Interior, Good Engine Cons: Modest Power The Bottom Line: The 2002 Corolla is a great all-around car that has good power, great handling, and a nice interior that will keep you comfortable on any ride.
What I bought
I just purchased a Corolla Type S at a local dealer for around 15K. The sticker price was 16K, which included automatic everything, A/C, stereo am/fm cassette, and and alarm. I bargained the price down to 15k out the...

Pros: Compact, good gas mileage, sporty, it's a great drive! Cons: Price (Toyota in general), engine, compact The Bottom Line: The Toyota S type is a compact 4 door "sporty" car. Great durability, and a good price. Great car for any size family.
This summer I recently got married to a Corolla driver. At first glance, her 1999 CE model looked a little dinky to me. My first thoughts were "Wow that's a little car, and listen to that high pitched whine of the engine, this reminds me of a neon!"...

I just recently had my car broken into and was in need of a rental car. My insurance company hooked me up pretty well. When I arrived at rental agency I was given a Toyota Corolla 2002.

Extremely Reliable,
Handles Well in Bad Weather, Cons: Rear-View Mirror Conflicts with the Drivers Side Visor The Bottom Line: This is an excellent economical car that's great on gas, can be fun to drive and will last a long time.
After some hesitation, I finally gave in to my father's suggestions and decided to buy my used 2002 Corolla LE (it's my first car that I bought myself). I was definitly very hesitant at first -- but then I test drove it. I have to say that I am ...

Pros: Very reliable, Great on GAS, Storage compartments, leg room, Purchase Price, Great commuter car Cons: Handling and suspension, Exterior paint, Standard Features, Lousy in wind, Hard to see backing up. The Bottom Line: If you are using it to commute to work, go for it. As a status car, a high performance vehicle, for long road trips, the Corolla isn't for you.
I've purchased my 2002 Corolla at an Enterprise Car sale my bank held during October 2002. The car had 22K when I purchased and now has 106K as I used it to drive to work. I also drive alot on the weekend too. I've had the car for almost four years ...

Pros: Good fuel economy, Great resale value Cons: Cramped back seat, somewhat overpriced The Bottom Line: I would reccommend this car to anyone that needs reliable transportation and doesn't need to make a fashion statement.
Since 1968, Toyota has been building Corollas and I never was interested in these cars, until now. After buying GM cars since I could drive, I would have never expected to find a Toyota in my driveway. Sick of working on my wife's 1992 Toronado, I...

Pros: Zippy acceleration, looks good, fuel economy, Toyota reliability & resale value Cons: Cup holders, seats The Bottom Line: If you want reliable, fun-to-drive transportation that looks good, get a Corolla.
I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla S and have put 1,500 miles on it so far. I love this car! Don't let the auto writers tell you the car is stodgy looking; in Impulse Red Pearl (see sample picture on this site) with fancy wheel covers the car is very...

Pros: Great, responsive car!!! Cons: Nothing really! The Bottom Line: Excellent value for money!
Spent 23 years driving VW Golfs.... feared change to Corolla, but after 500 miles we are getting to know each other! The D-4D (109BHP) - no matter what some reviewers say - is a splendid engine. Averaging 45/50mph will return 67mpg!
Roomy,...
