I ordered 3 different products from VetAmerica and was told there was a delay in shipment. If the order was delayed for more than 1-3 days, they would let me know. Then they sent a partial order and said one of the items that I ordered was out of stock. The reason why I ordered everything together was to save on shipping...they charged me for the entire shipping amount but never sent the full order. When I contacted customer service, they said they had sent an e-mail saying they didn't have one of the products. I never received it so asked them to re-send the e-mail but of course they weren't able to find it (BECAUSE THEY NEVER SENT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE). I order everything online and all other companies ask before shipping partial orders. VetAmerica did not because they didn't want to lose the business. I will never oder from them again!!
VetAmerica used to be great, We order pet supplies 2-3 times a year each purchase is over $200.00. We loved using them because orders received by 11:00am was shipped the same day and shipping was flat rate. Recently that changed (processing orders next day regardless of time ordered) then at least 1 item ordered was not in stock (backorder) which never happened until recently. They used to email when order was shipped with a tracking number. (not anymore) We put in an order 11/20/08 1 item was on backorder, finally shipped 11/25/08 As of today, 12/02/08 still waiting. This will be our last order from this company.

I shopped VetAmerica for the first time last week and was very satisfied with my experience. I was shopping for Frontline TopSpot flea treatment for cats, and VetAmerica had one of the lowest prices on all dosage counts, as well as reasonable shipping ($5.95 flat fee as of Feb 2009). The VetAmerica website is professional and easy to navigate.
I placed my order late (after 10 PM) on Sunday, and it arrived in the mail the following Thursday with standard USPS shipping (they ship from Miami, FL, and I live in Atlanta, GA).
Delivery is a scam. 4~5 days is not true. 20 days. I tried so much to get in contact but it seems that they don't have customer service anymore. No email reply, no phone call reply. Its always the machine asking to leave a number. Their hrs are 830~5pm est but no luck during that hr. They seem to have released my info to third party. I started receiving phone calls after making a purchase. I even got money charged on stuff I never did buy. I am even considering civil law suite against them for releasing my info.
Customer service is horrible, especially management. My order was backordered and no one from the company tried to contact me or resolve this problem. I had to contact them several times to get the issue resolved and it is still not taken care of. Also I found the same product for $10 less on another web site. I will never use this company again!

Poor customer service. Placed an order for 10 items and was told all were in stock. Found out over a week later that one was out of stock (it was the product I most wanted) and that the total order had been held for 4 days before shipping so it wouldn't arrive until 10 days after being placed. With so many online pet supply sites, there's no reason to deal with VetAmerica again. I believe they didn't want to lose an order but now they've lost all future business instead.
