Saving Money Is Great…But You Often Get What You Pay For

by coldsteel7 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 28 '08
Pros: Great Picture Quality, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Easy to Set Up.
Cons: Sound Quality is Terrible.
I currently own three LCD flat screen televisions. I have owned the Vizio VX32L for over a year. I purchased this television primarily because of the price point, which was around four hundred and fifty dollars at the time I bought it. I also own a 32 ...

Vizio 32 Inch LCD: Great Picture, Great Sound, Great Value

by jeavinl Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 15 '08
Pros: great picture, great sound, affordable, 2 HDMI connections, PIP, 178-degree viewing, no technical problems
Cons: gets a little hot, cables sold separately
After being disappointed by an online purchase of an O levia 27 inch LCD, I decided to do a little more research and to buy one from a store I often frequent that I know has a lenient return policy: Costco. I bought ...

Great Widescreen HDTV For The Budget Minded!

by ktk3438 , Jul 09 '07
Pros: HD picture quality, design, ease of use, flexibility of locations.
Cons: Up close viewing in SDTV can be grainy.
The only other place in my home that I watch TV is my bedroom. Unfortunately the TV I had was an 18 year old 19", that had finally outlived it's usefulness. So the hunt was on for a replacement. I figured I would go with a flat panel, and I would ...

Great medium sized TV for budget conscious.

by dconnors , Dec 15 '07
Pros: Reasonable price.
Cons: Fair sound quality.
We have had the Vizio 32 inch LCD TV for about 6 months. First in our living room, and later since we upgraded to a 42 inch in that particular room, it was been moved into our family room. We purchased the Vizio unit as an upgrade to a tube television. ...

A piece of junk

by senfield , Feb 02 '08
Pros: Works for 30 minutes, then nothing for eternity.
Cons: Makes for a great blank box if you are into that.
I purchased a 32" Vizio LCD HD TV from Wal-Mart on November 2, 2007. It has been nothing but problems. I called the warranty department and they sent out a technician who replaced the main board in it and it worked for about 30 minutes before morphing ...

VX32L - Check submodel CAREFULLY!

by jeth , Jan 29 '08
Pros: So far this appears to be a decent quality set for the money.
Cons: The body explains the cons in detail. This is not a good image for Vizio.
Most references you will to the VX32L don't give any indication of which submodel they are talking about. Before you buy, be sure you know which one you are getting. Vizio only shows the submodel 10A on their website, but there is a 20A submodel ...

Vizio a great value

by jtrujilo86 , Jan 25 '08
Pros: Light weight, great picture and sound, sleek design, unbeatable price.
Cons: Takes long to start up, some of the connections are hard to get to.
Back in December, I moved into a house with three other guys. The TV in the living room was a 13 incher, and trying to watch football or other sports on it was pitiful. Since I'm in college I don't watch much TV, but I couldn't pass up the deal I found ...

Great value for under 600 dollars

by retroclub , Feb 16 '08
Pros: Great price. Good picture and sound.
Cons: You must go into the menus to adjust the picture to fit the screen.
I looked all over the internet and searched local stores and found that the Vizio 32 inch tv from Walmart was the best deal for under 600 dollars. Upon picking up the tv, you first realize how light weight it is. This great considering my friend and ...

Excellent quality and value!
by mikoboy ,Jan 20 '08
Pros: Very Good picture quality,Excellent sound, and clever design, and value for you dollar.
Cons: A bit heavy, and cumbersome to install on ones own!
I agree with the three previous reviews! excellent picture, excellent sound (surround) an abundance of alternative hook ups, by having speakers below, and not on the sides, it needs less space lengthwise.
The versatilty of the set, includes the ability to mount it on a wall, (with a bracket, not included in the price)if you are looking for a flat screen, give this one a good look! and I understand it is assembled in California, from parts produced around the World, including the United States! We selected this television for all the above reasons and more, we looked at many, heard lots of hype, but I have to say, that the sales people at the store we bought this at, all agreed, that of all the TVs in their store, they themselves had purchased Vizio, and liked them, yet I was willing to pay more than I did for the set I purchased!! generally you are pushed and pulled to buy MORE!, not in this case! we are happy we made this choice!.

More Bang for Your Buck
by abchall ,Aug 16 '07
Pros: Picture quality, ease of set-up, menu system
Cons: Audio substandard, connection choices confusing
I purchased this television to replace a ten year old 32" Sony WEGA CRT television. I purchased the Sony for a little over $2000.00. I purchased the Vizio at COSTCO for a little over $500.00. The price was so low, I purchased a new VX20L for the bedroom and a Sony DVD-RW/VCR combo unit and was still under $1500.00.
The VX32L was a breeze to set-up though all the different connection types were confusing. What to use - CATV, HDMI, Component, S-video? The Comcast HDTV/DVR box worked perfectly utilizing the HDMI output. I used the standard Comcast HDTV box for the VX20L and ran into problems. The standard box did not have an HDMI output and had problems recognizing that the TV was capable of 1080i. Using the component connection resolved this problem, though the picture quality is not quite as good as HDMI.
Vizio picture quality is outstanding and can compete with most top of the line LCD televisions however the onboard audio is substandard making a surround sound system a must.

Only worked for 2 years
by ledfootdude ,May 14 '08
Pros: Low cost
Cons: Quality is CRAP
The T.V. was fine for the last two years, it is in the bedroom and doesn't see that much service. This morning I went to turn it on and nothing happened. The little amber light is on, so it looks like its getting some power. Checking the web I find this is a common problem with Vizio. So it looks like the main board is bad and it'll cost at least $150 for the part and hopefully it fixes the problem and I don't do any additional damage when I swap it out - lol. Some people were taking it to the shop and getting quotes of $400. I have never had a new T.V. go out this soon. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE !!!!!!
