Pros: Interesting look at G. W. Bush, with good performances Cons: Not much depth to the tale
Summary: Late in the film "W.," a reporter asks President Bush about his place in history. He correctly - and awkwardly - replies that his place will be determined after he dies. In 2008 America, though, he is seen as one of the most unpopular leader in US ... read more

Pros: W. is human after all. Looking for laughs? There aren't many here. Cons: There is a lot Stone left out.

Pros: Shows a side of Bush we rarely ever think about Cons: Too bad they don't erase his administration's actual damage
Summary: W is mostly vintage Oliver Stone, an outspoken critic of the George W. Bush administration. What we're getting a lot of in W is the old Oliver Stone, the thorn in the right wing's side who fired off Salvador, Platoon, Wall Street, Born on the Fourth ... read more

Pros: A fair, empathetic screenplay. Realistic governmental scenes. Josh Brolin, James Cromwell, Richard Dreyfuss. Supporting Cast. Cons: Sketchy, unfinished quality. Several themes introduced which are not adequately developed.
Summary: After Oliver Stone made JFK (1991), a reasonable, brilliantly edited compilation of the alternative theories about who shot President John F. Kennedy (and why), critics on the Right and on the Left never let up on him. In a film like NIXON (1995), his ... read more
