Pros: Humor. Lots of references to the Southwest and Southwestern style. One of our beloved Authors. Cons: Too many characters and stories going on. Too much profanity and racy situations seem contrived.
"Come back to the eighties in Boulder, Colorado. Soak in a hot tub. Concentrate on your career. Try to forget your divorce. Never mind that your teenage children find you hopeless. Try falling in love again...this time for real. Some things never...

Pros: Honest characters, clearly and thoughtfully portrayed Cons: None - how can you argue with Judy Blume?
For those of us who grew up reading Judy Blume's books for kids, it's great that there are a few books for adults as well. In "Smart Women," Blume is able to do what she does so well - show a true character, whether that person be 12, 15, or 40 years...
