Pros: Cheap, performs basic functions well Cons: No frills whatsoever
Summary: Like the average computer user, I don't do a whole lot of teleconferencing or anything like that, so I don't have a whole lot of use for a PC camera. My father had a spare one that he had gotten for free with his new IBM laptop, however, and he asked me ... read more

Pros: Works ok Cons: Doesn't do what the box says it can do
Summary: The side of the box leads one to expect that this camera can do 640x480 video at up to 30 fps, but don't be tricked. A closer look (which you'll do after taking it home and being VERY disapointed) shows that the exact wording is:

Pros: Easy to use. Cons: Difficult installation if you ever change operating systems. Not very good software.
Summary: I've had my IBM PC Camera for almost 2 years now. It's a pretty durable piece of equipment. I have moved several times, and have dropped it even more times (I don't like putting sticky stuff on my monitor, so it falls) and it keeps on ticking.

Pros: Easy to use and set up, USB connection, software CD has a lot of stuff Cons: Only functions well as a videoconferencing device
Summary: For Christmas of 2000, my mother gave me the IBM PC Camera. My stepfather, who is a techie like myself, had recommended it. It wasn't totally an altruistic gift. It was intended so that we could use videoconferencing so that she would be able to ... read more

Pros: Cheap, Easy to install Cons: Poor framerate, Poor Quality
Summary: Let me start out straight out: this camera was an impulse buy on my part, and I will never do that again! I thought, $30 for a webcam!? How can you go wrong? Well, I did. It really is true, "you get what you pay for."
This camera is meant for ... read more

Pros: Inexpensive and easy to install. Cons: Software/Drivers on CD don't allow camera to work properly.
Summary: I decided to by a webcam after seeing a friend of mine use his while chatting on Yahoo Instant Messenger. I thought it was the coolest thing. So I decided to buy a webcam but didn't want to pay too much. I found the IBM PC Camera on sale for $20.

Pros: Low price - suitable for basic "show me what you look like" application Cons: Many software bugs - quick to shut a computer down
Summary: This cam was an impulse purchase for me, thought it might be a nice toy to have. I was wrong.
The instructions which accompanied the cam were vague (at best) and very brief. On many issues the user is left to "figure it out for himself," ... read more

Pros: None Cons: Generic, crappy, poor image quality, overpriced, drivers crash
Summary: I don't care what price you find this camera selling for, it is a rip off. The camera has poor image quality (especially in low light), is not compatible with many basic webcam software (it wouldn't work with netmeeting), and the drivers cause other ... read more

Pros: it's a webcam (and a darn affordable one at that). Cons: comes with useless software.
Summary: Yeah, my website gets no hits. Right now I don't really mind too much (I haven't been updating all that regularly and have began to work on a redesign recently), but there was a time where I was updating every day and getting no hits to show for it! So ... read more

Pros: Cheap?? Cons: Fuzzy pictures.
Summary: Bought it for $29 at Walmart. Returned it after one day. As some wiseman once said, if it doesn't do the job, no matter what you paid for it, it's very expensive. I think, this analogy applies very well for this IBM webcam.
This is a very ... read more

Pros: Great camera for Ebay photos Cons: Hard to focus
Summary: This camera is cheap and easy to use. I use it solely for Ebay. I take pictures of items I am selling and it works great for that purpose.
The software was easy to install and I was using the camera within 10 minutes. You just point the ... read more

Pros: Inexpensive.
Looks good in both brite and low light.
Cons: So So software package.
Summary: I've had my IBM PC Cam for about 6mos now and I have enjoyed it. There are much better(and more expensive)cams out there but if your on a budget this one does the job. I get good quality video as long as there is a good light source and compared to the ... read more

Summary: There's no excuse for this bad a PC camera to so successful in the market except maybe that it's so cheap. In my case it was free, but...

Pros: None Cons: Unusable for video-conferencing
Summary: I can second the experiences others have had with this camera - you get what you pay for. The camera has horrible performance (5 fps or so) under anything other than full bright light, and even then any lighter areas (such as you face) will become ... read more

Pros: Price Cons: Quality, Software and Everything else
Summary: I can’t believe IBM slip this badly! I had been looking for a second PC camera for a while. Among many choices, the IBM PC Camera was reasonably priced with comparable features. Since I am a die-hard IBM fun, I decided to go with it. Then the horror ... read more

Pros: cheap, easy to use Cons: limited options, not the best quality
Summary: The only reason I got this camera was because it was free after rebate, so I can't really complain. But it did help me with some e-selling on eBay. Since I don't own a digicam, I used this to take pictures of products I was selling and, well, it did it's ... read more
