Hop on into the Roopaq!

Pros: Easy to use, great sound quality. Doubles as a portable USB drive.
Cons: Lack of any real MAC support. Shaped like a brick.
Genica touts itself as "delivering the same stuff - only for less" or something like that. And the Roopaq is no exception.. What it is is a MP3 player that you add a notebook hard drive to, and then, via a computers USB interface, copy your MP3 encoded...

Unusable MP3 player

Pros: Sounded good on paper.
Cons: Loses all data on hard drive reproducibly.
So, the Roopaq sounded too good to be true so I ordered it and it turns out that it is too good to be true.

I read the manual (which is in VERY BAD english) and then started using the device. Within 5 minutes I had caused the hard drive I...
