Pros: Easy installation, secure, durable, very useful Cons: A bit pricey

Yakima Rocket Box 11
by davepaff ,May 14 '09
Pros: Roomy, Skinny box on my 48s, 2 High Rollers went on easily. Cons: Long box, Mounts limited in positioning.
It took about 15 minutes to mount in REIs parking lot, but went on my crossbars easily. Had to work it past the fairing, but it went fine. It seems a bit flimsy, but going down the road and Highway, it was really stable. I opened my sunroof and there was a whistling so forget that. It's got a ton of room and you could probably get 2 or 3 sets of golf clubs in it. You could even fit a body in it, it's so darn big. It will carry a weeks worth of gear and a couple of tents and about 5 packs. If it lasts 10 years I'll say it paid off (today is 5/14/2009). I'd say "buy it" as I think it will be very valuable to travel with my family and 2 kids. It's skinny and I mounted 2 High Rollers next to it on my 48 inch round bars. In the 6 hours I've owned it, its been just awesome!
