Pros: Very stable Cons: A little expensive compared to other racks
I like this product because it comes in different applications specific for the car you drive. Since I drive a Volkswagon, they have a specific type of rack that fits very nicely onto my car. Once this rack is on your car it will not come off unless you...

Pros: Absolutely beautiful. Cons: ...hmmm...nope, can't help you there
Ok, I really shouldn't be writing this review as I haven't even used them yet, in fact I just installed my set of 725's six hours ago...but let me tell you, they look great! I just put a set of four Thule 415's, two 50" load bars and a set of two...
Pros: Easy to install. Easy to use. More time on the mountain! Cons: Consumer should buy lock system, but it comes separate and costs more money.
Transporting a load of skis or snowboards? This rack is great for anyone. Fits six pairs of skis and up to four snowboards, the largest model of the Thule Ski/Snowboard racks. Big buttons allow for easy access with gloves when its really cold. There is...
Pros: Durable, Affordable, Cool Cons: Doesn't fit every rack size
The Thule ski rack is an affordable and safe way to transport your skis. It can hold up to 4 pairs of skis (a regular family)and safely holds them between two rubber bars. The release mechanism is a large gray button that is easy to push even with...
Pros: High quality, design, excellent roof clearance with Fat Mounts Cons: To remove from the roof, you need to detach Fat Mounts first.
On our 2004 Toyota Highlander with factory roof racks, I tried Yakima Big Powder Hound with original V10 mounts. Our Atomic skis have pretty high bindings that touched the roof. So, I went to another store and they had BVG and Thule ski racks. Looking the rack, it was clear that Thule has the best quality (in addition to best design).
They offered me used rental rack with locks and Fat Mounts for $85, otherwise new rack with locks and mounts is around $150. After little bit of cleaning at home, they looked like new.
Thule does not have high end and low end models: they simply sell the same rack in three sizes: 4 skis, 6 skis, 2x3 skis (Snow Cat).
Installation: please read instructions for Fat Mounts, two minutes of reading will save you an hour.
Overall: excellent, affordable ski rack that works on Toyota Highlander (and probably Lexus RX330).
Pros: The 725 is good looking, well designed and very easy to use. Cons: A little pricey, and the instructions for my car were confusing.
If you have a Ford Focus 3 door, you have to mount the two parts so close together that you're clamping down between the bindings on one of the clamps, so you can't double up on the skis if you have late model skis. That turns it into a three pair system if you have all adult, new skis. It's beautifully designed, super lightweight and makes my car look very cool when loaded with skis. Very easy to get the skis on and off, so don't waste your money on the model that slides off to the side.
