The Uniden LRD Product Family radar detector should definitely not be something you rely on. After using this product I have come to the conclusion that I simply have to drive slower. There are a good number of false detections which cause me to slow down for no reason, and when it comes to detecting real cop cars it's too late by the time it detects them. Another disadvantage is that the Uniden LRD radar is not really compact. It oftens falls off my dashboard if I put it there and I really can't put it comfortably anywhere else. If you really desire a radar detector, I would look into another product.
