When my daughter started to go to college about 350 miles from home, I realized that I would be driving a lot of highway miles. Now I don't speed, mind you, but I do press a little. I figured that I would have to pay for several tickets over a four year period unless I bought a detector. There were so many on the market I read and researched some but ended up purchasing the Whistler model 945 because of price and ease of use.
The 945 has 360 degree total perimeter protection from all laser and radar guns. It has X, K, and superwideband Ka reception. Detects all safety radar systems to provide advanced warning road hazards such as accident sites, highway construction, emergency vehicles, and adverse weather conditions. The VG-2 cloaking technology provides nondetectibility.
The unit comes complete with power cord, visor bracket, and Velcro fasteners.
The only disadvantage I have ever seen is that there are excessive alerts is construction zones but all in all a good unit for the price.
