My husband and I purchased our 1998 Jimmy SLS and have had many, many pleasurable driving miles ever since. We bought the vehicle because I had just given birth to our first child and my car was a two door. It just made since to purchase a vehicle that had more room to accommodate our growing family. To date we only had one minor problem with our Jimmy. It had to be taken back to the shop to have a new ignition put in it. It seems that the ignition is a common problem with the 1998 Jimmy, so our mechanic says. He had told us that he had changed the ignitions in eight different Jimmys in the last five months. Other than the small ignition problem, my Jimmy has been a dream. I love it and highly recommend this vehicle. It has great storage in the rear and handles beautifully. A nice quiet, smooth ride. A + for anyone with children!
