Is that your final ansuh ?May 23 '00 Write an essay on this topic.Being an auto mechanic I get asked questions like this all the time, from friends and family, to customers that frequent the shop where I work. What kind of car do you recommend me buying ? This is an excellent category for epinions because this is where people come to hear member advice on most everything, right ? My advice is buy domestic, and my advice is buy an import. Ya I know this sounds moronic, but the fact of the matter, when all is weighed out it really doesn't matter. There are a few guidelines to follow for this decision, though, and then when all is said and done the decision is all up to you. The first thing to decide is what exactly is it you are looking for. A minivan ? a four door sedan ? a two door sporty coupe ?. Now that you have narrowed down your choices to one particular type of vehicle, you need to list all of the available choices there are in that category and do some research here on epinions. Take the list and narrow it down to your favorite few so you are not spending an unreasonable amount of time on bunches of vehicles and suffer from information overload. Weigh the epinions of the most trusted members, and see what you think the best choice for you is, from all of the information you have gleaned. It may be a foreign car or it may be an import. See which demand the fewest visits to the shop, see what options are available, do you like how it looks ? If you do not like how your new or used car purchase looks, you will not really love it. Don't buy any certain car because of it being somebody else's decision, it has to be all yours so it will feel best. One very important part of your decision should be if there is a dealer near you that specializes in that brand of vehicle. The last thing you want to happen should the inevitable take place is your car laid up in a shop for days or a week even, waiting until a part arrives, or having to pay more in overnight shipping than the part costs. If you do decide on an import, and there is no dealer close, but you really really want that and only that vehicle, make very sure there is a reputable shop in your area that will work on that vehicle. Sadly there are still shops out there who still live in the cold war era and will not work on anything not built by members of the UAW of America. Also make sure the mechanics are certified and they have kept up with all of the modern advances in technology through some kind of progressive training program. Whatever decision you make, do enough research to make it an informed decision, be comfortable with your decision, and buy the car of your dreams. Review lots of epinions on your prospective purchase, review some of my suspension reviews, e-mail me if I haven't reviewed it yet and ask me if the underneath is quality made. To let you know what I drive...well I drive an American built car, and I also drive a German built car. So there ya go... Foreign car ?? American car ??? Is that your final ansuh ?? |
