I received a loaded silver 1999 CLK 320 in April, and had high expectations. For the most part, these have been met, but there have been several annoying occurences. The rear shade screen has malfunctioned three times, and it took threats of applying the lemon law to finally get it fixed properly. Additionally, the interior squeaks. This began in the drivers door, and was repaired by reassembling the multiple panels of the door. Now the same problem is occuring in the passenger's door, and new squeaking is coming from the center storage compartment. Overall, I think the QA at Mercedes in slipping related to the high demand. Another annoying thing is the lack of availability of a digital cellular phone. Aside from all this, the car is a true pleasure to drive, especially for long trips, and the stereo surprisingly meets my very high standards.
