I own an 86 250R.It is the best quad ever built and I take my machine out to the Glamis Sand Dunes of California.I have never had one problem with my 250.Two of my friends have Yamaha(sickens me thinking about one) Banshees and they have problems out in the desert all the time.Whether its lighting problems or air flow or anything.I have a Paul Turner pipe and Fat boy silencer on mine and a K&N air filter on it so its pretty much stock.It may not be able to outrun a banshee but it will keep up with them all day and it will out last a banshee anyday anytime any second.Relaibility and power combined with good shocks,brakes,and great handling is the 250R in a nutshell.
