Hold on a minute!!Jan 5, 2000 Write an essay on this topic.OK I am still very new to this, so bear with me! What if you are one of the millions of people in this country who have to sit in traffic for 45 minutes or more to get to and from work?? The Auto wins hands down on this point! And in snow or ice conditions, put it in the gear you like and there is MUCH less potential of spinning the wheels and getting the car sideways. (as in the case when trying to "feather the clutch" and easing it!) Auto wins hands down there in my case as well! And for the power robbing and fuel mileage!? Most people don't watch it that close! Most people who want a sports car get that, a sports car. When was the last time you saw a Ford Taurus wagon with a five speed? (That wasn't a special edition anyway) As for the manual. Of course it is more fun, and more manly, and, and. They are just great for all the cruising, tire ripping testosterone fun that we all like. But what about the women?? I don't know about some of you but I have been SMOKED by more than one women in fast car. Most women (This is a proven fact) have faster reaction time than men! Don't think so?? Find a women that has a fast car and can drive that fast car and ask her!! Then we will see!!! More on the power robbing part of the automatic. The majority of Drag Race cars are Autos!!!
