all wheel drive!

We have had the experience of living both in the extreme temperatures and weather conditions of South Dakota and South Florida.
We also have owned 2 wheel drive vehicles and all wheel or 4X4's.
Our all wheel drive vehicle is a 1990 Chevy Astro Van, classified as a truck, not a mini van, because of its weight. It has a roll bar or some sort of roof protection in case of a roll over.
Our two wheel drive vehicle is a 1995 Chevy Suburban.
In icy, snowy conditions I will take the all wheel drive van over the 2 wheel drive suburban any day! It is the safest vehicle I have ever driven.
I need never change the drive as it is always there ready for any conditions I drive into. I have never slid on ice or snow in the all wheel drive vehicle, but have too many times slid in the 2 wheel drive.
Although I fully enjoy the bigness and style of the Suburban, I do not feel as safe with the driving. But, I feel very safe in it should I incur an accident due to its build. I just wish they made all vehicles all wheel drive. I cannot recommend this mode higher. I refuse to get rid of our all wheel drive van for this very reason. When the weather is bad outside, I take it. The suburban cannot be trusted to not get stuck even in the least amount of goo, whether that be mud or whatever! The van, no sweat!
I speak from the experience of our newly acquired property. We bought 18 acres here in Tennessee on the Cumberland Plateau. Our drive is mud when it rains, and I have no problem going thru it in the van. Too many times we have had to be pulled out with the suburban. Very frustrating.
To the manufacturers! Offer an all wheel drive vehicle for the Suburban.
