Go To Edmunds.com First!

I purchased (Feb '99) a 1999 Hyundai Elantra GL. I used www.autobytel.com to find my dealer and my car. I used www.carfinance.com to get my loan.
The third and perhaps most important part to this trinity was www.edmunds.com.
Edmunds.com is the most complete car information website around. I kid you not! The site has every make and every model, it also has buying tips for first time buyers and reviews of every car; except for the most obscure or unpopular. They also have pointers for financing (buy vs. lease) and shopping tips for new and used cars.
If you need any type of information a new or recently-used car, they will most likely have the info, or if not, a link to where you can it. You also can do comparisons between models based on any type specs you'd like.
The website itself is very easy to navigate. The interface at www.edmunds.com is very friendly, pleasing to the eye and responsive. Actually, probably like that new car you are shopping for!
When I was shopping for my car I tried other car sites like carpoint.com and some of the car magazine sites like motortrend.com. These sites were okay, but not nearly as comprehensive as edmunds.com. The one thing it was missing (maybe not now) was the cool immersive 3D 'bubble' that carpoint.com had. Sometimes Microsoft is worth their weight in salt.
Skip the newspaper ads, the car mags and consumer mags!
My advice is just go to www.edmunds.com for car information, it's more than you need! It's truly one of the best websites out there.
