Quiet, Powerful and Handles Well

Pros: Nice Power, Solid Feel, Good Handling, Quiet
Cons: Gas Mileage is below 20, about 18-20.

We've had three BMWs. A 1995 520i sedan, a 2000 Z3 2.3 Roadster, and now a 2000 323i. It is a great car. Lot's of nice features. For example you can shift manually or leave it in the 5-speed automatic. It also has the radio controls and CD controls on the steering wheel. The car is quiet, but the exhaust has just enough noise to let you know it is a BMW. The Dynamic Stability Control works well in the winter. We've driven it on several snow packed roads and the computer in the ABS braking system applies power to the wheels that need power and brakes the slipping wheels. The seats also have a power memory tied to the key system so that my wife and I never have to adjust the seats. The only thing we don't like about the car is the low ground clearance at the front. You need to approach step driveways slowly not to bottom out. Don't buy it if you have small kids who eat in the car or a large pet. The leather seats are not made for these kinds of passengers. Other than that, for $35,000 it is a great buy. Good German Engineering, plenty of weight to keep it on the road, and solid construction.
