Car Security: For Consumer's Piece of Mind

With the recent addition of Car Security by Die-Hard and their *new* Security Battery, you can come to an accurate conclusion that consumers are becoming more concerned about their vehicles. Car manufacturers in the last 5 years have begun to implement alarm systems in their vehicles to 'appeal' to the concerned consumer as well. With all this being said, it's really unfortunate that even all the preparation and security features in the world will not deter a thief from your car, if they desire your vehicle enough.

Alarm systems from Viper are known as the better systems in the market today. Viper is so confident with their systems that they will pay your deductible on your insurance, should your car be stolen while equipped with one. Honestly, who cares? Your deductible is on average $500.00, which means if you paid to get an alarm system on your car, you just get your money back, excluding the car and alarm system.

Other systems have unique programming capabilities, which may not deter the thief, but leave him quite embarrassed. One of my acquaintances configure their alarm system so when the alarm was activated, the car made noises one would make 'making love'. Probably the best way, now a days, to grab the attention of everyone in the mall parking lot.

Humor aside, the fact of the matter is, Car alarms were developed and will be developed for the piece of mind for the average consumer. If a thief wants to have your vehicle, he/she is going to find a way to take it. Some even attempt theft more than once. Of course, none of us would like our vehicles stolen but imagine that if it does happen to you, it can be worse. Some unfortunate consumers are getting out or in their car when a suspect attempts to steal the vehicle. Before thinking of Car Security, think Personal Safety. It's worth more than a 'hunk of metal on the side of the road'.
