*RING RING* around 6pm the phone rings. Its Heather, my sisters friend. "Hey Why hasn't Diana come to pick us up yet? She was supposed to take us to the Mall." I get a sort of sick queasy feeling in my stomach. "Diana is borrowing my Car Heather, she's only supposed to be driving it to work and back".

Thats where it all began. It turns out that my sister who had promised to only drive my car to work and back decided to go joy riding and on the way to pick up some of her annoying little friends failed to notice the cars stopped in front of her because she was watching another accident.

*CHI CHING* $3,000 worth of damage to the front end. Declared totaled by our insurance agent, although it didn't really matter since the multi-car pile up was completely my sisters fault and we only had liability on the car. I wasn't going to give up on my beautiful that easily!

I took the barely driveable car, and a friend's truck, to Given's Auto-Parts Recycling Center (A JUNK YARD) in Lawrenceville, Georgia. They actually thought I had come there to sell the car, HA! With their help we managed, out of the miles and miles of rusting car parts, to find the same model of car, 1991 Cutlass Supreme, which was badly damaged in the back but had no damage in the front. From the wreck we used the hood, bumper, bumper reinforcement, grill-plate, and light casings ($600+). I spent every weekend for the next month prying the dented pieces off my car and then re-attaching the unbroken pieces from the other car onto mine.

Then I noticed the Bumper and Hood of the car was a different color than the rest of the car. My car was silver and the other car was a deep red. Who would have guessed? I decided to go ahead with that for a while.

Then something nasty happened, while I was fixing the car I had it parked on the back corner of my drive-way where no one had ever parked before... right under some pine trees. Within days the car was encrusted in bird poo and pine-sap. Then I decided to do as the commercial says "Uh Oh, better get Maaco!" But first I took it to the Pontiac Dealership so that I could get the transmission sensor repaired and the air conditioning replaced($500+), I decided to go ahead and get that new kind that uses the environmentally friendly freeon or is that anti-freeze? After getting that done I went and took it to Maaco in Snellville, Georgia. I like my car to look nice so I got the Supreme Paint Job Package with a 4 year warranty. It took a little less than 1 week, I delivered it on Monday and got it back on Saturday. When I got the car back it looked better than it had BEFORE my sister wrecked it. It was like a brand new car. They even, before they let me have it back, took it to one of those car washes that have 20 men running around waxing and buffing and they detail it, they even vacuume the carpet. I figure that I spent around $1,700 total getting the car better than it had before. So I saved about $1,300 than if I had just dropped it off at a Body-Shop place and said "Good Luck". I love my NEW car! LoL!!!!!
