| daagui's Full Review: 2000 Nissan Frontier 4WD |
I bought a Nissan pickup, 94 model, in 1996. I paid $6700 for it and feel that maybe I should go back and compensate the dealer for stealing this truck from them.
In the four years I've owned the vehicle it has been driven extremely hard as it has been used as a commercial delivery truck. It's racked up over 170,000 miles and has seen the shop one time! Yes, only once, for a clutch at the 91,000 mile mark.
By now it's certainly not the picture of beauty, but it still runs like a top and every single feature works flawlessly. I would not recommend this vehicle for a runway model or a corporate exec. trying to earn style points but it's an amazingly simple and dependable truck.
My truck has a bench seat that isn't exactly like sitting on a cloud of air, but the great fuel economy, low engine noise, dependability, and hauling capacity(I exceed on a daily basis)make it a utilitarian dream.
There have been very few products I've owned that I'd recommend as highly as I would this Nissan truck. I guess the ulimate question in a rating: would you buy this product again...I will never buy a compact truck that does not have Nissan stamped on the grill...How's that for owner loyalty, J.D. Power and Associates?
