Clifford is the way to go....

Dec 23 '00

I have had many different brands of security in my cars since the mid 80s. I have tried everything from the club to a Clifford and everything in between. I used to live in a area that had a lot of thefts each year, weather it be the whole car to a car stereo. I couldn't stick my Rotts in my car, which would be the best security out there : ) . Here are my reasons why I choose the Clifford as a security system of choice.

The Club: This bulky piece of metal fits over your steering wheel to keep a would be thief from steering once they hotwire your car. Cons: You just cut the wheel and pull the Club off and trust me, it is not hard to do.

A blinking dummy light(no actual alarm): I tried this one time and the next day my stereo was gone..hmmm guess I wasted $10 and the price of my stereo.

Cheap no name alarms: You get what you pay for. Usually a 1 year warranty and the alarm will go off when it rains, is windy, and if a car with loud mufflers go by.

The Clifford: The Clifford alarms come with a lifetime warranty. As long as you get the alarm installed by a pro, you will never need to buy a alarm again. Just have it removed and reinstalled in a new car. The cost is approximately $100.00. Cliffords are known for reliability and I would say 98% of all car audio shops recommend them. There are all the features you would need in a Clifford and all models differ in the options offered. A siren with a built in battery is a good option and will let your siren function if your power is cut on your battery. Also, the Cliffords have a memory and retain this for false alarm protection. I have had a Clifford in my car for 5 years and have had zero problems. No false alarms and no malfunctions.

I have saved my stereo from being stolen twice and it has probably saved my car from door dings(due to the exterior sensor).

There are a lot of alarms made by well known manufacturers and some are very reliable. Look for a lifetime warranty and false alarm features and you will always look at a Clifford. They have been around for a long time and will continue to be as long as they make quality products.

ATTENTION: No matter what alarm you choose your life is not worth a car stereo or your car. Never attempt to approach the criminal as they are breaking into your car like I do. I am serious though, a lot of car thieves are pros and are not just playing around when trying to get your property and there always is a possibility they will try to hurt or kill you.
