I love my Yamaha Blaster!!
Written: Feb 25 '00
Pros:sweet quad
Cons:none
I have a '91 Yamaha Blaster which I have owned for 7 years and have loved every minute of it. This is the most reliable best riding 200cc quad you will find.
The thing that I like best about the blaster is that it is a purely sport quad. It doesn't have any b.s. racks or stuff to get in the way. It is great looking and fast with a 6 speed transmission. One slight problem, i don't know about newer models, but mine does not have reverse. This has never bothered me though because it is light enough to push or lift if you get stuck.
I have ridden a few other four wheelers including polaris and honda and this made me greatly appreciate the fact that I bought a blaster. The suspension is great. It is fully adjustable and provides a soft ride for flying down trails, but doesn't bottom out off those big jumps.
Another great thing about the Blaster is that it is extremely reliable. As I said I have owned this quad for 7 years and in that time the only maintenance I have done was oil changes, chain adjustment, and I replaced a broken clutch cable. That is it, and believe me, I do beat on this machine. It starts great all year long, even on the really cold days when I take it out in the snow.
The Yamaha Blaster is the best 200cc quad on the market because it is extremely reliable, sporty looking, rides great, and is fast enough for most weekend riders.
