Best Mustang Aerodynamic Upgrades in the Market (Amazing FeedBack From Team Shinoda!!)

The Bottom Line yes.
I have been wanting to compile a listing for fellow 'stangers who are looking to make their car's body look unique. As Mustang becomes even more popular, being different from the crowd is one of our top priorities. But, putting on an outrageous double decker wing and ridiculous racing stripes I think will make you look stupid -- a concept of mine I covered in great detail in my editorial rightfully titled 'Aeromoronics.' Without further delay, let me tell you the best aftermarket Mustang body kits available:
Saleen Performance 9/10 www.saleen.com Saleen is a racing company that builds the craziest Mustangs on the road. Yeah, they even have a 100k racing model called SR. Its insane, as they claim that their 351 Mustang is the fastest street car in America. What is cool about these guys is the fact that you can buy practically anything they put in their cars. (well, except for the widebody racer which won the SCCA last year) Anything meaning an entire racecraft suspension to engine upgrades to every single body piece available in their cars. A full saleen body kit includes their Composite Hood, Front Bumper, Rear Valance, S351, S281, or the SR Wing, Side Skirts and the Cowls. A mustang with full Saleen Aero Kit looks like a racer. These pieces are handsome, and lower the car. Even with their excellent parts, Saleen looses a point from me because they have absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Saleen body upgrades will hide the model of your car, which a lot of V6 drivers find kewl. Poor souls. Why don't you just buy a real 'stang?:> (Entire kit is about 1.5k)
Cervinis Auto Design 9/10 www.cervinis.com I don't believe they have anything made for the 99 model yet, but Cervinis body kits can turn any Mustang into a monster. While Saleen will make your car look like a handsome racer, the Cervini upgrades will make it hideously agressive. They also sell a ram air hood as well as side exhaust kits. I believe they use Fiberglass for the pieces, and unlike Saleen they only sell body kits. Full Cervinis kit is also called 'the Stalker Mustang'. This upgrade will also hide the model of your car. I have had no personal experience with them, so I can't tell you anything about their CR. (cost same as Saleen)
Steeda 8/10 www.steeda.com Steeda is also a racing company much like Saleen, but they are a bit less popular. Regardless, I think they have much better customer service. (The Steeda Tri-Axe shifter is an awesome aftermarket upgrade!) They also sell wings and other body parts, but an entire steeda aero kit is not as complete as Saleen or Cervinis. Full upgrade is also not designed to hide the model of your car. (a bit cheaper than saleen)
Ford Motorsport 7/10 www.ford.com Ok, I listed site but forget about it. Ford's performance web site is pathetic. They just give you a text listing of what is available. Don't even bother going there. There are some rumors as to ford starting to sell body kits for the Forza and the 2000 Cobra R. I know they used to sell the 95 Cobra R pieces, but I am not sure if this is going to happen. Forza is a handsome model of the 99 Mustang they re-built. It doesn't have a wing, and the front looks a bit weird. Check out its pictures at www.mustangworld.com (original dealer parts, so they cost a lot)
Roush Performance 6/10 I am not sure of these guy's web page, but they sell complete body kits that are unique in that they do not try to hide the model of your car. The roush front spoiler is an add-on to the stock bumper. They also have the weirdest wing. I never bought anything from Roush, but to tell you the truth I don't like their body kits. (not sure of the costs here)
A lot of generic companies like Xenon also sell full body kits for the Mustang, but these are so generic they are not even worth mentioning. I also heard that a company in the west is starting to build and sell Boss Shinoda body parts. I don't know how bossy that is, given that Shinoda died years ago.
Addendum I received the following feedback from Team Shinoda. This is quite amazing. Here is the piece:
"I would like to introduce my self my name is James Klok I am the manager for Team Shinoda That company out west that is building the Boss Shinoda along with assembly and power coming from Dallas Mustang Parts and for the reader who wondered how bossy these cars are with a 99 level 2 Cobra your looking at horsepower coming in at around 500 also the style and performance along with being very areo dynamic the new Shinoda cars will still cut through the are better than the others as they always have.
For more info on the shinoda package email me at Jim @ teamshinoda.com
Thank You James M Klok Manger Team Shinoda
Were Power Performance and style become one!"
