The truth is, unless your engine requires it, there is no reason to use a higher octance fuel than required. You'll just be paying more for gas, and it costs more in the gas than it extends the engine life. The only time you want to use premimum is if your car requires it, you're pulling a huge load up a hill, or your car is "pinging" or having trouble running smothely. Aside from the above, stay away from the expensive stuff unless you need it. You'll be amazed at how much you save a year, it can total near $200 dollars, expecially with todays gas prices.
