Great Review (Reply to this comment)
by goboy9
I acquired my E30 8/98 in San Rafael, Ca. It initially had 116k but I new that it had been well taken care of. Currently(10/04) I have 235k! I recently had a valve gasket replaced but the engine is still VERY strong. I do need a new radiator. I replaced the clutch(prematurely) in early 01 so it should out last the vehicle. The water pump went out on the San Rafael/Richmond bridge during a killer road trip from Scottsdale, AZ to Seattle in mid 01. No other problems other than that. If you can get your hands on one, I strongly encourage you to do so. I estimate I should get 250 - 300k out of this automobile.

Spot On Alex (Reply to this comment)

I found this review very helpful prior to purchasing a 1992 E30 325i convertible about 6 months ago. Concur with all points (pro and con). All in all, a great car to drive and so far not expensive to maintain, particularly if you are prepared to do the basic servicing yourself.

Very nice review. So this is how to use the new format!
Your car isn't all that light. It weighs about 3000 lbs., average for a small midsized car.
Those early airbags can be dangerous for shorter people. If you're of average height it shouldn't be a problem.
