A Car I Will Miss

Pros: small, easy to park, reliable for many years
Cons: ac and radio went, 4 cylinder

This was the first car my family bought, back in 1987 when it was one of the best. When I last rode in it, the radio and AC had been long gone, and it was much smaller and less powerful than your average new car.
Over the years, the Nissan held up pretty well. It went through about 4 serious accidents, and countless dents and bumps. It scratched pretty easily, but the small things never affected the way the car ran. After 8 years the first serious problem arose, I recall having to replace the carborator. However, once that was done, the part never gave any more trouble. As a 12-13 year old car, the brakes squeaked a little, and it was no longer reliable for long trips. In it's past, the Nissan had eben driven to Florida twice and countless trips to the suburbs and beaches surrounding my home city.
The radio and air conditioner died after about ten years, which I consider a pretty good life. In fact, I would still be using the car had it not been damaged in a recent accident. The cost for repairs was too high, so I donated the car.
The Nissan has a 4 cylinder engine and is automatic, but I believe the same model could also have been purchased as a manual.
I will miss the car because it was spacious enough to hold 4 in the backseat (a little tight, but easily doable) and very easy to park and maneuver. It is not so good for accelerating on a highway, but for street and city driving is a very good choice. This car should not be purchased secondhand unless it was driven very little because it may not be worth what you pay.
I highly recommend purchasing a newer Nissan model because they make excellent cars.
