Pros: Pocket Rocket, DEPENDABLE, Fun to drive!
Gas mileage is unreal, long-legged driver's dream! Cons: Ejection seat syndrome, insurance nightmare due to two seats, so small for any crash survivability
Bought this new, traded it in on an Accord. I needed a family car and also air conditioning! I LOVED THIS CAR!
Unbelievable handling, shifting, gas economy, looks, dependability.
This car had real spirit. Turning radius made for some...

Compact Economic Box with four wheels

Pros: Great gas mileage. Cons: Can't carry more than one passenger.
Acquired in 1999 for $1500 Cdn. Had 100 miles on it. Yes, Miles. A California Car.
Having bought it used from a dealership, overall, it ran okay but had to do allot of work on it. Starting with following all wiring harnesses for 15 hours to find what was a short.
Once that was done, I changed the carburetor, put new BF Goodrich tires on all around and kept driving.
Five years later, I had the head done. Still runs and has (touching wood) never left me stranded.
Overall I like the car. It is simple to park anywhere. Not much surface to keep clean. The tunes sound great in such a confined area and the ride is comfortable for an old car.

1984 Honda CRX s rock
by krisgaertner ,Jul 04 '07
Pros: Great mpg, handling; sporty, "modern" look for older car; easily maintained, lots of cargo space Cons: No drink holder, a little hard throwing it into 5th or in reverse, no power
I bought an '84 CRX 1.3L stick in June 2007 for $1,000 and am ecstatic about it! My first car was new, a '79 Honda Civic. I graduated in 1982 and this CRX really takes me back. I bought this car basically because I'm sick and tired of pumping $50 into my van every time I turn around. I'm thrilled that this car is getting over 40 mpg and I'm having a ball driving it. It was driven primarily in California so there's no rust, but the paint is faded and there are a few small dings. I can't wait to have it painted. As far as I'm concerned, the Honda CRX is still a very cool car to see on the road.
