Pros: nice size Cons: transmission problems
We had a 1992 Plymouth Voyager, bought it new in 1992, and traded it in 1995 with 120,000 miles on it. There were several problems with this van.
First of all, we had three transmissions put in it, the first two covered by the warranty, the...

Pros: Lots of room to roam Cons: Maufacturer did not stand behind when there were factory problems
I know that most people just love theirs, so I'm sure I'm a minority of one when it comes to minivans....I hated mine!
In 1992 we purchased a used minivan that had less than 10,000 miles on it. According to our dealer, it had been a...

Pros: reliable and comfortable. Cons: not altogether convenient for all adult families and those that seem to haul things often.
I was always used to driving a small car. I had a Chrysler LeBaron. My husband had a small truck (94 Ford Ranger xlt). We decided to try to combine our vehicles, thus saving money on insurance, payments, etc. So we went van shopping.
We liked...

Pros: Speed and Capacity Cons: None
It's the early the age of speed, aerodynamics, and capacity. The Voyager tops many Vans. Capacity played a huge role when I bought my Voyager. My son is in the band. In fact he is on the drum line. That's like 17 people or teenagers. The Van has come...

Pros: Lasted for 7 years sort of! Cons: Needed repaired after 6-8 months; paint chipping
My husband and I purchased the 1992 Plymouth Voyager a month before the birth of my twins. We needed lots of room to travel. We did purchase the warranty and boy am I glad. The van broke down on me and the twins on my way to visit my parents in 1993....

Pros: very roomy, mechanically sound and warms up fast..and not bad on the mileage either.. Cons: gas and temp gage isn't always reliable, ..seats can be difficult to take out.. The Bottom Line: All and all ..I still am very happy w/it...despite the minor problems..and want to upgrade to a newer one soon..possibly a Chrylser Town and Country..
I have read some of the complaints people have about the voyager....I have always had a small car and it was always a pain in the butt..I have owned a vw, pontiac, ford, mazda and many more....and the plymouth I now own has been by far the most reliable...

Pros: Style, comfort, durability, size, visibility, safety Cons: Lousy acceleration, ugly instrument panel, oil leak The Bottom Line: This car is great for large families on a budget, or teens just learning to drive. It's big, cheap, and slow.
My family owned a 1992 Plymouth Voyager for 10+ years, and it was great while it lasted. The ol' gir ...

Pros: Good sized car, infrequent problems, lasts a long time Cons: Things slow down as it gets older. The Bottom Line: Good family car, lasts a long time.
A minivan, exactly what every suburban living family with two or more kids needs. After all on those long trips to grandma's nothing is better than a good sized minivan where "Daddy he is in my space" is no longer heard coming from your single back...

Pros: Long lasting Cons: Bad
My parents bought this car because it offers space enough so that our hole family can fit in it and so that we would not have to get two cars. I don't know if they wish they had taken that Minivan and thrown it out the window.
The Minivan....

Pros: Long Lasting, Great Engine Cons: Notorious Tranny Problems The Bottom Line: I'd highly recommend the Voyager if you want a car with tons of power and longetivity.
We bought this car new 10 years ago. It now has 155,000 miles on it and has been maintained regularly. The only REAL problem we've ever had with this car was that we needed the tranny replaced at 145k, which was good considering all the horror stories...

Pros: comfortable seating Cons: Something "howls" when it rains out. The Bottom Line: I keep mine because it is nice to take alot of kids with. I kept my 1991 Delta 88 Royale, Oldsmobile for when I want a smooth quiet ride.
I just bought this, used 1992 Voyager Van, for my Daycare to take short trips in. I do like having the Van. I will keep it but if it rains the tires or the wind noise is like a howling sound. The back Hatch is hard to pull up and down. To heavy and...
