Pros: Smooth ride, roomy, "great to look at" Cons: Read the review....
I've had my Ford Explorer now since 1993. It's been every where from
Washington DC to Miami, FL (where it was purchased) to Alabama and now here to sunny (yeah right) San Diego. I must say that it would have been cheaper renting a car during my...

Pros: dependable Cons: sometimes hard to park
I am a proud owner of a Ford Explorer. I received this car about 3 years ago, and would not trade it for the world.
An Explorer can fit tons of stuff in it, trust me I fill it to the brim everytime I go back to college. Not just things,...

Pros: Comfortable ride, great trunk space. Cons: Low gas mileage
I am known to be extremely picky and analyze things to death. When buying a car it was no different. i new I wanted an SUV type of vehicle and after many months "exploring" the possibilities I chose the Ford Explorer.
Upon comparing...

Pros: Comfortable. Good for around-town driving. Cons: Unsafe at any speed. Slow. Barely adequate at anything except short trips.
Okay, I'm 19, and I've been driving this death trap for 3 years, previously it was driven by my mother, so nothing you read is because of abuse... at least not long time abuse. I have to say, anybody who says this is a good truck is so completely wrong ...

Pros: True utility vehicle, has withstood the test of time and abuse Cons: High upkeep costs, bumpy ride
Being a Northeasterner, I must admit that I am part of the fast-growing SUV craze. Among the cars I have driven is the 1993 Ford Explorer XLT with leather interior, CD player and roof rack. This car is also equipped with 4WD, though it is optional;...

Pros: Size, versatility, and capabilities Cons: Factory parts: air-conditioning compressor, power steering pump
The Ford Explorer is a workhorse and a playhouse. The versatility of the Ford Explorer is not understood until one is owned and utilized. The Explorer has true truck capabilities but not the bloated size of a truck or a full size SUV. The optional...

Pros: Can be driven really hard! Cons: Factory heavy duty tires wore quickly.
I bought my Ford Explorer in 1993 when they weren't the "station wagon" of the 90's. I have a dirt road 1/3 mile long with lots of ruts and bumps. I haul pot bellied pigs and my dog, straw, heavy food bags and drive on the lawn. My Explorer...

Pros: comfortable reliable and pleasing to the eye Cons: I have the Sport model-- a 2-door-- wish I'd gotten a 4-door
I bought my first Explorer because I liked the look and the feel of it, and as a Home Health Nurse I practically live in my truck. I had also read about the dependability of the Explorer, and knew I could count on it to get me where I needed to go no...

Pros: Very good vision and easy to drive Cons: none
I have always been a Ford car buyer and decided to try the Explorer. I bought a 1993 Ford Explorer XL and I love it. I thought I could never get away from the Ford Cougar...which I still love. I have wanted an SUV which I did try out the Chevy Blazer...

Pros: Handling, hauling, cargo space Cons: Winter stopping
I bought my 1993 Ford Explorer because I wanted a bigger vehicle to haul around all my and my brother's stuff. For hauling it's great. It even tows very well. I towed my brother's boat 400 miles with absolutely no problems. It handles great with no...

Pros: Rides Well, comfortable reach for radio, cups... Cons: Fit in back seat for car seats
I just bought this vehicle from a dealer specializing in pre-owned SUV's and I like it very much. It's comfortable, rides quite smoothly for an SUV, and is nice to look at. But I'm not proud of two of the main reasons I find driving it so pleasant: I...

Pros: Lots of room Cons: n/a
I do not personally own a Ford Explorer, but my Mom and Dad have had 2 of them and My sister currently owns one.
I think this is a strong, good, dependable vehicle and has a sporty look to it as well.
The inside of these Explorers...

Pros: Inexpensive Sport Utililty Cons: Only lasts 80,000 miles
We "inherited" a 1993 Ford Explorer in December of 1998. It was great until it had about 100,000 miles on it and just stopped at a red light. It would start, but when we put it in to drive, it stalled. We had it towed to a transmission...

Pros: Great comfort. Great engine (165,000 mi. on mine and still truckin). Great cargo space. Cons: Handling, steering, liftgate. Oil pan gasket cheap and will break down - expensive repair.
[5 days after writing this review the factory JBL subwoofer blew. It vibrates like crazy now and I can no longer listen to music. I never abused the speaker system or played it beyond about 50% volume. Just got in the truck today and it was blown. No one ...

Being 18, and having to commute to work, home, school, and everywhere else getting an explorer was the greatest thing I have ever done. When it came time to get a new car...I had to take many personal hobbies into affect. Living in California I knew I...
