Why bother with anything else?

by mike1nyny , Mar 10 '00
Pros: Pushrod V-8, styling, suspension, seats, stereo
Cons: Brakes could be better, poor fuel economy
I'm going to keep this review relatively short and sweet to avoid gushing. I've owned my 96 Pontiac Trans Am for a year since March of 1999. Its the longest I've ever owned a car. Generally I bore of cars quickly and trade them in. Not with this car. I...

Trans-Am's: More then a car, A way of life.

by MARCHARE , Feb 03 '00
Pros: Looks awesome
Cons: Can be expensive
Close your eyes and imagine your flying. You can feel the cool whisk of air flowing over your face, and your favorite music is playing flawlessly in your ears. Your blood turns to pure adrenaline, and the sensation of wheeling around turns is enough to...

1996 Trans AM WS6 Beast

by mph4snakes , Feb 18 '07
Pros: Sleek lines, great power plant, good braking, nice front seats
Cons: pricey tuneups, not a family car, cup holders could be better(97 model improved)
I own a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 moderately modified. I did most of the mods myself except for the exhaust and the heads being shaved. The heads were shaved by the previous owner. I have my speculations as to why, but I'll leave it at that. But even ...

Really alot of fun and a decent value.

by funchy , May 20 '02
Pros: Fast, strong, and sexy.
Cons: Came from the factory with a few too many problems with quality.
In 1996 I bought this car new. I wasn't really shopping for a new car but someone talked me into taking a test drive and I was hooked! Now the car has over 100k and is still running well.

It's got alot of power and it's big enough that I...

Look at Me!

by Ripper1079 , Sep 10 '00
Pros: Quick, reliable, and oh so sweet looking.
Cons: For a car that is as long as my Mom's Grand Marquis, I would think there would at least be a LITTLE more room inside!
I have had my Pontiac Firebird since it was new in 1996. My parents bought it for me when I was almost 17 because my old car, a 1976 oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was just about the most deadly car left on America's vast roadways. Even though my car has...

Sporty, Stylish and Elegant...

by SheilaMarie , Dec 26 '99
Pros: Sleek, Stylish, Fast
Cons: better for people without children
The Pontiac Firebird is not only a powerful muscle car but it's sleek styling and elegance combine to make it a very fashionable luxury car.
They are reasonably priced between $16,000(basic model) and $30,000(the top-of-the-line, everything added,...

What Power

by robinsz71 , Dec 29 '99
Pros: Power
Cons: seating for long trips
I have owned many cars in my time however none to the power of my 1995 Pontiac Firebird.
The horsepower is great, I have a 5.7 liter engine and a six speed tranny. It corners great and at high speeds so nicely. Sleek looking and medium sized. I...

Love/Hate Relationship

by Gina325 , May 30 '00
Pros: power and fun
Cons: rotten gas mileage, frequent visits to shop
I was the owner of a 1996 Formula Firebird....and all I can say is that it was a typical love/hate relationship. I loved the style, the power, the fun of the car so much that it was affectionately nicknamed "Baby". But, in spite of all the...

Over 117K & still going!

by miamisuzanne , May 17 '03
Pros: good cargo room with back seat down, comfortable, power
Cons: electrical problems, expensive tires
I ordered this car in Aug. '95. I have had it since Sept. '95. I love this car & hope to continue driving it. I have traveled from NJ to FL (and back) with it 3 times and to Myrtle Beach once. It was an easy & comfortable drive. The back seat is...

WHAT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by percible , Jul 06 '02
Pros: drop dead gorgeous convertible, fast as blazes, passes with authority...big time
Cons: Interior not up to par with Honda for instance, gas mileage pretty poor
Have owned this black convertible for about a year, got it at a great price and it was worth every penny. I added a Ram Air Predetor hood from SunCoast Creations, and some 18 inch wheels and tires. It has a black top that retracts flawlessly, so easy...
