Pros: Ride, power, styling & reliability. Cons: depreciation.
In 1998, I found myself in the market for a full sized sedan. I considered the Buick LeSabre, Pontiac Bonneville and the Mercury Grand Marquise. I had set my price at about $29000.00 and all of these cars fell into that range.

Great car

Pros: ride, power, gas mileage, low maint needs, comfort, good looks, low cost as a used car Cons: small stuff could be better.
I bought my 97 Olds LSS IN 2000, WITH 35K ON THE ODO. It now has 93k on it and the car is still in exceptional shape. This car has comfort, good looks, reliability, and good performance- both gas mileage and acceleration. It is quiet, and roomy enough for five if needed, or two with lots of baggage, junk, etc. Large trunk. Avg mpg is pushing 30 on the road and around 20 in town. Some of the small stuff has been troubled, ie drivers outside mirror is loose internally, and needs to be replaced. That is due to a cable controlling the position, that broke. Also, the sound system has a cassette stuck in it, that won't eject. I don't use it, so that is not a concern. The cd and radio work fine. For the cost of this car, I am very pleased. I have had a few gm cars w the 3800 motors, and they have all performed very well, with very long life, before needing any work.
