More Information
For 1997, the production of the all new Prowler will begin. The limited two seat roadsters will begin production with 2,000 units. A production increase is schedule at a later date. The Prowler is a concept car turned production car with the nostalgia of the fifties Hot Rods. The Prowler, unlike its 50 year old counterpart, used todays available technologies to incorporate 900lbs of aluminum in the frame and suspension. This extensive use of aluminum allows the Prowler to achieve a curb weight of only 2800lbs. The tires have low pressure sensors and run-flat capabilities. The engine is a 212hp 3.5L V6 with the autostick shifting transmission. The Prowler is available as a convertible and only in one color, Prowler Metallic purple.
