Pros: Fast, Pretty Cons: Small backseat
On November 6, 1996 I purchased a 1997 Pontiac Firebird. I loved this car. I traded in a 1991 Firebird on this car. I had liked my older firebird so I thought I would like the newer model. I was right.
My bird as I call it was red. It had...

Pros: Looks, engine, good factory stereo, FAST , interior, value Cons: Small, nearly useless sideview mirrors, insurance rating is 'worse than average', not a gas sipper
If any of you have read any of my other reviews, you might have gotten the idea that I like musclecars, and Camaros in particular. I've always liked the styling of the Firebird as well, but until recently had never really had any experience with one....

Pros: Nice styling, passes the "stare test". Very reliable, Excellent traction in bad weather. Cons: Body flex, awful rear window
We purchased a 1997 Pontiac Firebird convertible after noticing that it was calling my wife from the lot.
Absolutely adorable car, white with a beige interior. Like all ragtops, it had a lot of road noise with the top up, and being passed by a...

Pros: gas milage, driver control, 0-60 times Cons: not for those over 6'1, they call that a backseat??
My wife bought a 1997 Pontiac Firebird before the two of us met, and I tell you what...just the car alone was enough to fall in love. T-tops, nice alloy WHEELS, not hubcaps like the pre-1997, and SPEED.
I was crushed when I found out that...

Pros: Awesome power, low price, tight Cons: Loud, rough ride(con?) engine ages well but nothing else does
I bought a fully loaded 6-speed manual 1997 Firebird Trans Am with the 5.7 V8 in 1999 for about $19k with 55k miles, at 77k now. It's superfast. The engines age well. 60-100 is more fun than 0-60. This car is for ultra power hungry people who don't...

Pros: Plenty of horsepower, great handling, very comfortable, super sound system Cons: Traction Loss on Snowy or Wet surfaces, Blind Spot in Rear
If you are looking for a fun car to drive, then this one is it. I always wanted a sports car, but never wanted to pay $50,000 to have one. The choices in the less expensive category are minimal. So, I researched and decided on the Firebird based upon...

Pros: Fast, looks, nice interior, fun to drive! Cons: Tiny back seat, little trunk space, bottom scrapes the road on inclines, very high maintenance.
I bought my bright red Firebird on March 31,2003, it had 75,000 miles on it. I've been obsessed with them since I was 2 years old, so I was thrilled to trade in my Saturn. Although I wanted a V8, the V6 is pretty fast, could outrun my friend's V6's. A ...

Pros: Strong Engine, Great body style Cons: Awful Electrical system.
Not to state the obvious, but the car is a nice looking piece of machinery. I will grant you that. But before you put out the cash for this muscular road menace, be aware of one owner's story. I'm a young and successful entrepreneur in my early 20's...

Pros: powerful V6, fun to drive Cons: road noise, backseat is a joke, little trunk space
First a little background- my 97 V6 Firebird has just over 71,000 miles on it, all of which I've put on myself. From the time I drove it off the lot, I've driven it HARD (proof- I'm on my 3rd set of tires and 3rd set of brakes). I always figured it...

Pros: Fast, very nice looking, frequently mistaken for a Corvette :) Cons: Not a family roadtrip car, small backseat
My girlfriend recently bought a bright yellow 97 Firebird, let me tell you a few things about it... I have a 95 V6 Camaro and its both a joy and a pain in my side when she smokes me at the track. Both of our cars are stock, but her car just has...

Pros: Looks and handling. Cons: It's been a lemon. JUNK.
I purchased my '98 Firebird new and I loved it. For about 8 months. That's when the trouble first started. While driving in a parking lot, the ignition switch and coils blew out. These were not covered under the warranty. Since then, I've had some ...

Pros: Nice Looking Cons: Engine Problems
I purchased a beautiful 97 green/blue (changes color) back in May. Thinking this was the car of my dreams. I recently had my service engine soon light come on. If any of you have experienced this "LIGHT" before it means the start of trouble. I...

Pros: Fast, handles great, very Sharp and turns heads. Cons: Expensive to repair. It doesn't hold up very well in wrecks, crumbles pretty easy.
I have had 2 Pontiac Formulas. My black one was hit by some young girl and the car slid off the frame and was a mess. I also have a motor that went out in my head light! I know you have seen many Formulas with one head light up, well this is why. These...

Pros: great handling - lots of standard options Cons: insurance rates on young drivers
My wife wanted a new car and we started looking at the saturns. Once we got all the options she wanted, the price was well over $20,000. That is when I said - for this price you might as well by a sports car (big mistake on my part). Next thing I know...
